- Got him tickets to a baseball game. They got sold out quickly, so he thought he was too late in getting one. But you called him one day and asked if he wanted to spend the weekend going to a baseball game. He told you that they were sold out and you corrected him, saying that you were there just in time to get two tickets for you and him. He tried to contain his excitement on call, but you could really hear the smile in his voice. You said that you knew he'd be happy to see a game in so long, so that's why you thought of him first. From then on, he felt a certain newfound warmness towards you. He could never forget that day from then on.

But on the inside he was ecstatic. What's more was that you started eating beside him after, and you handed him a tissue when he got some on his cheeks. That little gesture in itself had him thinking that you were more than worth it in his eyes.
