Chapter 4

Emily P.O.V

A gun shot sounds and a deep searing pain smashes into my side. My hands land on the spot and slick blood coats my hand. Tears sting my eyes, but I push them back. I know what I need to do. I need to push through the pain and get the moron who shot me.

“PERSONAL!” I scream out. My suit drops the dead person it was hold and comes over to me and wraps me up in it. My suit finds my injuries and puts pressure on my wound, even though the bullets in it. “Get me in the air. I’m going to kill those morons.” I yell and my suit goes into the air.

I fly in the way the bullet came from. I know everyone watched me take off with a bullet wound. It hurts like heck, but personal will take it out later. I zoom over the crumbled building and into the wood land.

“Alice scan for heat signatures. I want the moron who shot me.” I say and she begins scanning the woodland. I fly around looking closely.

“I got two SUV’s moving down a dirt road. Seems to be four bodies in each jeep. Scanned for weapons and they seem to have a missile launcher.” She says and I smirk. That’s no trouble, not since my suit can’t be seeked by missiles.

“Get me ahead of them and in the middle of the road. I want to block their vehicles.” I say and we fly faster. My suit lands in from of them and their SUV’s jerk to a stop in front of me. I can’t see through the tinted windows, so I have Alice us another mode to see.

I look into the window and I see the smirk on the man’s face. I lift and arm straight up to his face. His smirk wipes away. I point my finger at him and swipe to the side motioning for him to get out of his SUV.

He points to himself and then the door. I nod my head and he grins evilly. I roll my eyes even though he can’t see them. He steps on the gas and his tires spin on the dirt road. The SUV start barreling at me and I stand there waiting for it to hit me. As it collides the SUV crunches away from my suit leaving me unharmed, but the SUV totaled.

I lift my helmet up and look at him.

“You just scuffed my suit! Do you know how long it took me to build on my own?” I say with fake anger and then smirk at the man in the front seat. I hear the rolling tires of the second SUV and lean over to see it trying to get away. “Yeah, you’re not getting away. You shot me and nobody gets away with that.” I growl and lift my hand. I aim my arm and fire.

The tire on the car explodes from the blast and it drags to a stop. I lean back over and look at the person in the seats of the car that I’m still crumbled in. I take out a laser and laser the car away from me. I take a step back and feel a twinge of pain from the bullet.

“Alice get ahold of S.H.I.E.L.D and tell them I have eight more men to collect. I don’t want to be traced or followed. Scan non-folded for bugs or tracking devices.” I say and I make sure the people don’t escape from their SUV’s. I look closer at all of them and realize that they’re dead.

I take to the air again and fly to the air.

“Non-foldable has around fifty bugs on him by The Avengers non by Bucky Barnes. Ma’am personal also has a few bugs.” I stop in mid-air.

“Cut off all signal and destroy all of the bugs on me.” I say and I hear crackling of fried bugs. I fly back to the jet and land. I walk across the grass in my suit, while they watch me and land walk. “Personal, retract, but follow me on protection.” I whisper and the suit retracts, taking the pressure off my wound.

I wince and put my hand onto it, to stop the blood flow. I take a sharp intake of breath and continue to walk. Pain bombs my side like the attack on Pearl Harbor. I walk to the end of the jet’s ramp. Non-foldable stands inside of the jet.

“Non-foldable, out here.” I shout and the suit walks up to me. I start with the helmet checking for bugs. By the time I get to the waits of the suit I have around a hundred bugs on the ground. I crouch down, wincing at the pain it brings my waist. Black Spots begin to cloud my vision. I fall into the leg of my suit breathing heavily.

I hear the pounding of footsteps coming closer. I freeze and then scramble backwards with my lands and legs. I shake my head to get rid of the black spots. I feel hands grab me and I scream out.

“Alice, take me off the grid. Bring all of my suits in and burn the dang bugs!” The suit repulsors fire up and metal hands grab me. I hear shouts from The Avengers and Bucky as my suit takes off with me. I actually lied when I said how many suits I have, you wouldn’t believe me. Some of them aren’t made of Vibranium, but the stuff the Tony Stark Iron man suit is of, but most of them have Vibranium.

When I tell Alice to take me off the grid, it means that I’m in danger I need to get to a safe place. I’m hurt and need my suits to fix me. Since my suits have emotion and I made then, they think they owe me and they help me out. They know they belong to me and that I am thankful for them.

I do talk to them like they’re human. My mom and I coded them to be smart so they will talk back with sarcastic messages, feel emotion and will always love you. The last part doesn’t normally happen with humans.

Halfway through the trip I black out. My suits take care of me and the one that is truly different from the rest has my mom’s voice. It has everything she would say or do like she was still here. My suit surround me and I know how many there are and you can count them. Have fun!

When I come to all my suits are around me. Some of them look like people would if they stayed up many days if you were in the hospital and others look happy. Daisies and other flowers surround me and I know they’re from fields.

My body is in pain, but this serum that I found one day really helps. If actually helps heal you faster. My wound is sealed up, but has pink around it and it is extremely tender. I push myself up and all my suits turn to me.

“Thank you.” I say to them and walk around with tinges that bother me occasionally. I walk out. The brought me to my workshop in Kenya. I smile and begin working.

After Emily left we all stood there. I say Tony, Natasha and Clint messing around with the suit she left to carry the men that died. Bucky and I stand there watching them, confused with what they’re doing.

After about a half hour we hear blasters and Tony, Clint and Natasha step away from the suit. Bucky finally realizes what they were doing and he leans over to me.

“They bugged the suit.” He says and I look at Bucky. We both clench our fists in anger towards them. I look out of the jet and see Emily in her suit. He suit retracts and you can see her bloody shirt where she was shot. She walks up to the ramp and her suit walks behind her. She stops at the base of the jet’s ramp.

“Non-foldable, out here!” She shouts and the suit turns to her. It walks out to her and stands there. Clint, Tony and Natasha smirk and then their mouths drop in shock when she begins to pull out all their bugs they planted.

I put my hand up to my mouth to stifle a chuckle. We sit in the jet watching her take apart the bugs and rip them off there suit. When she gets to the waist, I see her bend down and notice her wincing in pain as she does.

She continue on and suddenly slumps against the leg of her suit. Her chest heaving up and down forcefully. Bucky and I rush down the ramp towards her. As we get closer to her she freezes. We keep going and then she scrambles back, her face contorting in fear. Her eyes looked dazed and it must be from the pain.

She keeps crawling away from us in fear and I reach my hands out to help her up, to fix her wound. Just when my fingers brush her, she screams out.

“Alice, get me off the grid. Bring all my suits and burn the dang bugs!” She yells and her suits rush over. One of them push me away and the other one grabs her. They take off into the sky and I look out over them. But questions race through my mind.

Why did she look so scared when we came to help her? Why did she scream out when my fingers just brushed against her to help her up? My mind is confused and I look over at Bucky. He mirrors my expression. What the heck just happened?
