"Harry-"

"You'll be fine, I'm not going to let anyone hurt you" I weakly smiled at his attempt to reassure me but there was nothing he could say to put my mind at ease. We were running at a fast pace along the grass leading down to Hagrid's hut, normally things like this gave me a thrill but with what had just happened to Dumbledore I wondered what they would do to us. The grass was damp and in the pitch black night we could barely see where we were stepping, Harry still had my hand in his almost dragging me along behind him.

He seemed so determined, so eager to hex each and every one of the death eaters that stood above us when Snape killed Dumbledore, me on the other hand, wasn't. I know Dumbledore wouldn't have wanted this, whether it was a Professor that he trusted that caused his demise or not, he wouldn't want us putting ourselves in danger to avenge him.

But god did I want to kill them all, I know that I wouldn't be capable of that but that was where my thoughts were at right now. I wouldn't stop Harry from trying and I'd have his back all the way, he never stopped me from doing things in order to get my anger out so I wouldn't deny him the opportunity either.

It was steep, I tried to retract my hand from his to slow down our pace, I would slip without a doubt. Harry however still was moving like he didn't care for anything, "Harry I'm going to fucking fall!" I harshly whispered not wanting to make our presence known if they were still nearby. "Sorry." He released my hand but kept running. I sighed rolling my eyes but continued after him at a pace that was more comfortable and safe for my liking.

I heard Bellatrix squealing in her usual mocking tone from a distance, right near Hagrid's home. "SNAPE, HE TRUSTED YOU!" Harry screamed startling me but I rushed to his side pulling my wand out from my jeans. I gasped at the sight of the hut we had been visiting for years burst up in bright orange flames, the worst part about it was Bella's cackling laugh and jumping about at her success. "You fucking bitch!" I screamed. "Stupefy!" I hit her directly in the stomach causing her to be thrown back onto the grass. If I wasn't so pissed I would have definitely taken the time to enjoy what I had just done, Bellatrix Lestrange taken out by a stunning spell, not only that but by a sixteen year old.

"Incarcerous!" Harry shouted shooting it directly at Snape but he was blocking any shot with ease, "Expelliarmus!" I tried to help my brother out but Severus was far too aware of the lengths we would go to for revenge.

"FIGHT BACK YOU COWARD! FIGHT BACK!" Harry screamed so loud that the veins in his neck that formed when he was angry looked ready to burst. Before I had even seen what had happened, Harry was thrown across the field landing directly on his back. I gasped running over to him, not caring about who threw the spell. For all I knew he could have been hit with anything, it could be fatal, "ar-are you okay?!" He grunted and rolled around on the floor not giving me a clear answer, but he didn't stop, he forced himself off the ground "Haz! Stop, leave it!" I tried to pull his arm back but he ripped it from my grip "SECTUMSEPRA!" Yet again it had no effect on the Professor it only resulted in Harry hitting the floor once again.

I sat in front of Harry when Snape made his way towards us "JUST GO! YOU'VE DONE ENOUGH!" I begged for him to not harm him, with how many spells we shot and he blocked I knew I wouldn't stand a chance at protecting the both of us against him.

"You dare use my own spells against me! Yes, I'm the half blood Prince." He snarled but he didn't seem angry or proud, he seemed remorseful and shaken up. Whether that was down to the events that had happened here or in the astronomy tower was unknown but I had a gut feeling telling me we were misjudging the situation. He left without another word, and we both sat silently staring into the dark mark that now hung in the sky. It was daunting, it was a reminder of what the Dark Lord had just accomplished. "I- I want to see him."

The crowds that gathered made me feel so small, almost as if our arrival went unnoticed. I gripped onto Harry's hand this time as we made our way through the people surrounding him, only as we made our way to the front did everyone's eyes turn on to us.

There he was, his long white beard settled messily on his face, his deep sunken eyes now lifeless. His robes scuffed from the fall, I had never acknowledged how much Dumbledore had actually done for us, he seemed to be the first person to care after our parents passing. We knelt delicately beside him, sorrowfully staring at his broken composure, it was strange not seeing his warm and welcoming smile that he tried to keep on at all times.

Only now it was Harry sobbing, much like I was when it first happened. I quickly removed the significant locket from Dumbledore's neck, it would have all been for nothing if we lost this in the process.

Ginny left the crowd to join us first, followed by Hermione to comfort us. Harry held onto Ginny like she was the only thing he needed and I couldn't help but feel happy that she was the one to comfort him. Hermione was the one I needed, she was that friend you need when you want to cry but I couldn't help but want Ron here too. It was something about Ron and his famous Weasley hugs that can just make it feel like a weight off your shoulders. Although I loved these two with my whole heart there really was only one person I wanted right now, Fred Weasley knew me better than I knew myself, he'd know exactly what I want and what to do to cheer me up.

McGonagall was the first to raise her wand to the sky, it was a memorable and honourable form of respect for the kind, generous man we had lost today. Everyone quickly followed suit standing silently while doing so, it was an unforgettable and powerful moment to see the power from our wands erase the dark mark that gloomed above our heads, in the clouds.

I had finally gotten round to packing like I had hoped, but I felt disconnected cut off from the world. It was as if time has stopped.

I sat down on the edge of the bed letting out a shaky sigh, I either felt like I was going to cry or scream. There was no necessary reason I just didn't feel right, I laid back but sat straight back up at the feel of something digging into my spine. I pulled out the gold locket that will be so important for our victory, opening the squeaky latch that sat at the front,

'To the dark Lord, I know I will be dead long before you discover this but I want you to know it was I that discovered your secret. I have stolen the real horcrux and intend to destroy it as soon as I can. I have faced death in the hope that when you meet your match, you will be mortal once more- R.A.B'

It was all for nothing.
