Samantha skipped lunch, walking straight to the library, she had decided to dedicated every free moment on finding more about Remus' condition. She had a weird relationship with Remus, with their endless bickering, but they had both owed each other many times, saving one another and she couldn't help but want to help him. She was walking down the empty halls, almost completely oblivious to her surroundings, she was snapped back to reality when she accidently ran into someone.

"Shit.. I'm so sorry, here- oh its you." She said looking up to see who she bumped into. Severus, she had a falling out with him in Fifth year, this was the same time Lily began to fall out with him aswell, he had said horrible things to both girls who were only trying to help him, things Sam would never dare repeat. He extended his hand, to help her up from the floor "Sammi, Its-". "That's not my name Severus, you lost the right to call me that years ago.". "Samantha, please.. Are you still holding a grudge?".

'A grudge'? It was more than that, even thinking of the memory made her blood boil, she couldn't believe he would think she would just 'get over it'. "A grudge? Are you serious, you call me a slur than expect me to want to be your friend again? That's not how it works Snape, now give my books, I am not in the mood today." she replied, slaping his hand away, and getting up herself.

Severus stood there, not moving, looking at her with a sad look. She grabbed her books from Severus' hands harshly and began to walk away.

"Samantha, you cant be like this. We use to be so close."

She stopped in her tracks. "Use to be," she repeated firmly, "Maybe if you stopped hanging out with the wanna be death eaters, we could be friends again. But you wont do that, will you Severus?". He stared blankly at her, "Thats what I thought, there's a war going on, and you've seemed to pick a side. I cant help but say I'm disappointed Severus, you could do better." she knew the second she said these words that she broke her old friends heart, and at the time she had meant it. Anger had clouded her thoughts and she had said what she knew would hurt him, she was already regretting saying it as she stormed away.

Her blood was boiling, she couldn't believe Severus had the nerve to talk to her. She had avoided him since 5th year with great success, he wouldn't dare talk to her around the Mauraders or Lily. It was true at first she missed his companionship but she soon saw that she didn't need him to be happy, that she had other friends who care for her just as much as Severus maybe even more. The day he called her a 'mudblood' was the last day she had a full conversation with him, and that was hell, 2 years ago? And now he has the nerve to try and apologize now? What made him think that was a good idea? She was so confused, and furious... She didn't know what to think other than she cant forgive him now, not after all this time.

In her furious mood she had forgotten the whole reason she went to the library, great! Now she would have to go back tomorrow and get the books, this day was fan-fucking-tastic.

She checked her watch, 12:38, if she hurried she may have enough time to finish lunch with her friends. She didn't want to damper the mood but where else could she go? To her room and sulk? No, she isn't going to let a prick like Snape ruin her day, she turned around and walk as quickly as she could to the great hall.
