Inner Demons

I've come through so much

 Watched time go by

 I've seen it all

 I've lived every second.

The clock's ticking down

Time's come to an end

 The world spins around

And we all take a step.

 Each and every breath

Circles around the world

 Millions of lives

 Millions of heartbeats.

We all walk this path

We all live one life

So tell me this

What have we done with it?

Picture the fold

 Come running through

The light at the end

 Of the dark of the tunnel.

 Born in this world

 Through a miracle

 Open your eyes

And see your fate.

 Laugh and cry

Play and smile

Regret and despair

Forget and remember.

 Each little emotion

 Is like a car crash

 You can't look away

You must face and embrace it.

 Once a child now something more

 Come and enter this world

 Start seeing the true side

 Come and see the dark side.

Hath embraced one's moral compass

To find the end of the journey

In pain's true grasp

 You wake to find yourself in paradise.

 All around the world

 There's no bitter grace

 The corrupt rule

And the honest fall.

Violence is ripe

Death has come

 Every day it knocks

 Every day it kills.

 Children are scared

 They live in fear
