~"scared I was gonna lose my partner.", Upstead

General POV
"Upton go from the back."

Voight tells hailey as they're surrounding the suspects house.
She does as he said and goes to the backdoor, when she's there and gives a small signal to kevin who's by the side of the house and he nods to Voight.

She can hear them scream 'Chicago P.D.' and the door getting kicked down.
Quietly waiting until there's footsteps heard to the backdoor.

"THERE'S ANOTHER ONE! UPTON HEADS UP HE'S GOING FROM THE BACK!" she hears through her earpiece.
Suddenly the door gets smooshed open and the suspect tries to escape, but ain't succeeding as Hailey got him to the ground.

Somehow he gets free from her grip and pushes her against the wall, hitting her hard in her stomach and chest.
She groans but manages to get him on the ground again and then cuffs him.
When patrol officers arrive they grab him from her and bring him to the district.

Hailey POV
I watch how the man gets taken to the patrol car and I'm very relieved that's over.
I want to stand up, but then I feel an immense pain in my ribs.
I try to stay strong but I just fall back to the ground as the pain is to bad.

I start to get trouble breathing and am about to pass out when I hear someone yell my name.
I hear it again and realise who it is: jay

Jay POV
I notice that Hailey still hasn't come back so I decide to go see what's going on.
I go to the backyard only to see Hailey laying there, kinda holding onto her chest in pain and she looks really beaten.
I rush over to her while yelling her name before noticing she's almost unconscious.

"5021 George I need an ambo at my location right now!" I yell into my radio as I'm trying to keep her conscious.

I don't know how, but I managed to keep her awake until the ambo arrives.
"Help is here Hailey, just stay strong for a little longer"
She only nods weakly.

The paramedics come over to the pair, they get hailey settled to go into the ambo and go to the hospital.
"I'm coming with you." I say and without waiting for an answer I'm in the ambo, and telling a patrol officer to tell Voight to meet us at Med.
With that the doors close and we're off to med.

General POV
Hailey got treated and Jay stayed in the waiting room after Natalie had to push him out of the room as he didn't want to leave Hailey's side. After some time Jay is allowed to go see her.

"Hey Hails... How are you feeling?"
"I'm doing fine now, the pain meds are doing it's job so, I'm good."
"That's good."
"You were worried about me, weren't you?"
Jay hesitates for a little while before nodding.
"Yes. I was very worried Hail. I was scared I was gonna lose my partner." Jay says jokingly and Hailey giggles.

There's a knock at the door and when Jay looks over he sees Natalie and his brother.
"Hey Nat, Will."
"Hey Jay, Hailey. Okay so Hailey we're gonna do some tests on/with you and then we'll see what state your in and what the next step will be." Will says

They do exactly that and after some minutes Natalie speaks up
"Your clear to go home, but you need someone to stay with as your not allowed to be alone."

This is the part Natalie and Will made up.
They've been trying to get them together in many ways bit never succeeded.
They saw this opportunity and took it.
"I'll do it." Jay says and they nod.
"Alright"

When will and Nat got out of the room and out of sight from the two of them they gave eachother a highfive, happy their plan finally went well.

"Alright, let's go." Jay says when hailey is ready to go.

Jay takes Hailey home, they cuddle and just relax together and hailey soon feels better.
