- Next day -

"So you think you saw him?" Claire looked up from her notebook.

"I feel like I have but I'm not sure" I said and she rolled her eyes before going back to doing her work. I sighed and looked around and I felt pressure on my body.

Like someone was watching me.

I looked around and nobody was near us, "girl were going to do your work or?" Claire waved her hand "I feel like someone's watching" I said picking up my pencil.

"It's just you and me here....or it could be Hector and his friends just fucking around." She smiled

After a couple minutes we stood from the bench and got in her car.

She dropped me off and I went inside me house to see my mom and Greg talking in the living room. I guess they didn't notice me because they kept talking.

"Greg please don't give up. She was very close to her father that's all" I heard her say "it's been a long time. I'm not saying that she should accept me as her father. I'm saying that I feel like she doesn't like me for the kind of person I am, I know how she feels well based off what you told me" he said and I stood there hiding behind the wall

"What do you mean?" My mom asked

"When I was about 3 years younger than sienna my mom left my dad with some other dude, leaving my sisters and I with my dad alone" he said

"And like you said she was a daddy's girl and I was a mama's boy, so I understand how she feels. I went through that too, I know how hard it gets and I want to be there for your kids. So they don't go through the pain I went through" he said making me feel bad

I don't hate him at all he's a really good man for my mom it's just that pain that my dad caused when he left.

I walked out the house and went on a walk to get things off my mind.

The sun was starting to set and the sky looked really pretty. I ended up by the cliffs close to the beach and sat on this one bench my dad would always bring me too.

We'd eat ice cream as we watched the sun set.

I looked at the sun set as I remembered the times. Then some guy spoke, "mind if I sit here?"

"Yea sure go ahead" I said not even looking at him, "it's so beautiful" he said and I nodded, "yes it is"

After a couple minutes of silence I looked at him.

"You seem oddly familiar" I smiled weakly "really?" He turned to looked at me locking eye contact.

His eyes taking a light hazel color as the sun hit them, would it sound weird to say that I fell in love with his eyes?

"You were that one guy that was standing in the middle of the road yesterday, aren't you?" I said and he nodded with a smile forming in his face.

"Why?" I laughed "I'm sorry I- I was on something" he chuckled looking away "oh okay" I smiled looking back at the view in front of me.

"What brings you here?" He asked "um my dad used to bring me here" I said starting to play with the rig on my finger.

"What happened?....you don't need to tell me" he said right after "no it's fine" I laughed a little

"Um my dad and I were really close, we'd come here almost everyday to see the sun set and one day he left us for another woman" I said feeling my eyes water

"I'm so sorry I didn't mean-"

"It's fine..." I smiled looking at him and his eyes softened "and well know I just come her to get things off my mind" I said looking down

"I'm sorry" he whispered "it's fine there's not much you can do" I said wiping my eyes.

A comfortable silence fell between us.

We stayed there till the sun was down and the sky was dark.

Then my phone vibrated and it was a text from my mom wanting me to go back home because it was getting late.

"Well thank you for your company" I laughed lightly as I stood up "you're leaving already?" He looked at my then stood up

"Yep mom calls" I smiled looking up at him because he was a lot taller than me, "alright then" he smiled back. I just met him and I'm getting butterflies come on now.

I walked away and looked back at him "sorry I didn't get your name" I said

"Mateo" he smiled, "yours?"

"Siena" I said "beautiful name" he said making me smile "thank you" I said then waved at him and made my way back home.

"Sorry, I was watching the sun set" I said when I got home "there's a plate in the microwave if your hungry" my mom said going upstairs.

"I thought Greg was going to be here?" I looked at her

"He was but we noticed you weren't coming home yet so we had dinner then he had to leave" she said and I nodded "goodnight sienna" she said

"Good night mom" I said loud enough for her to hear me as I walked to the kitchen.

I ate my food and went upstairs to my room. Took a shower and got ready for bed.

Time went my fast, it was almost 1 am when I fell asleep.
