Chapter 6: Hidden Secrets

The next day...

It was currently 3 in the morning when Coltrane woke up to the sound of someone crying. He got up quietly and headed towards the living room where he saw Jeremy seating on his couch sobbing with both his hands to his face.

"Jeremy? Are you okay?" Coltrane asked starling Jeremy to immediately stop crying. "Oh yeah I'm fine sorry if I woke you up." "No you didn't I had to go use the restroom." He lied. "Um where's your girlfriend at? I thought she was spending the night?"

"She went home earlier I told her I wasn't feeling well." "So do you wanna talk about it?" "Talk about what?" Jeremy asked. "On what's bothering you? I mean you obviously look upset." Jeremy continued to stay silent looking down at the ground.

"Your not by any chance upset over candace are you?" He sighed looking at Coltrane. "I mean how can I not be upset over this I mean my mom literally ruined my future with her, and even if things hadn't worked out between us now I'll really never know."

"I know man, I'm really sorry this happened to you but I mean aren't you happy in your new relationship?" "Well yeah I'm happy I mean I really do love her a lot but I just can't help thinking about her I mean I hadn't thought about her for like 4 years and now after this I just can't get her off my mind."

Coltrane stayed silent when it clicked. "Wait what if you just called candace and just talked to her and maybe you can pick up right where you left off." "No that won't work I looked for her for a year I asked all her relatives and not one single one of them would give me any information not even Stacy even after she knew the truth."

"That's true but I think your forgetting something." "What?" Jeremy asked. "Stacy is my girlfriend and I can convince her to give me Candace's information." "I don't know Coltrane, I mean that would be amazing but I also don't want to make Chelsea worried that I'll just get back together with her." "So talk to her about it."

Meanwhile Coltrane got up from the couch and took out his phone. "Listen I'm going to call Stacy and see if I can't get her to give me her information in the meantime you talk to your girl and let her know she's got nothing to worry about." Jeremy just nodded his head

Meanwhile Coltrane was waiting for Stacy to pick up since she was 4 hours a head of their time so it was around 7 in the morning her time. "Hello" Stacy answered. "Hey babe I'm sorry if I woke you up but I've got a huge favor to ask and I would really appreciate it if you came through for me."

"Okay what's the favor?" "Do you think you can possibly give me Candace's information?" "What! Why would I do that?" "Because I told Jeremy and he went off on his mom and I really he should talk to candace."

"What! Coltrane i don't know if I can do I mean candace is my best friend and she trusted me with this secret." "I know but I'm positive that candace would like to talk to Jeremy too I mean he's really upset." "Huh alright I'll send you her phone number email and address." "Thank you babe I knew I could count on you."

"Jeremy I convinced Stacy to give me her information." "What! Did she send it already?" Jeremy asked immediately jumping up from his couch. "Yeah here it is, Her email CandaceFlynnFlethcher1@gmail.com her phone number (951)356-0817 and her address 932 Springfield Rd London E10 3Ch.

"Oh my gosh Coltrane I don't even know what to say, thank you so much oh gosh what am I even going to tell her?" "Well I'm glad I could help but I am going back to bed I'll see you in the morning I guess." Coltrane said heading back to the guest room.
