Michael's POV
"The hell are you thinking? You're insane!" She exclaimed as if her words reflected on how she feels at this moment, I had my car drifted to misdirect whoever it is after us.
"You have to get out of the car, now!" I commanded her when I finally had the chance to scrutinize the distance between the other car.
Without a doubt, she left me and now in front of a convenience store, maybe knowing that her understanding this time won't be a burden no more.
Finally, with all sinuous situations I'd faced, it was all worth facing for.
The street where I am in is a stalement in the end of it. I've nowhere to turn to.
And there I found the car which supposed to be the "tail".Before I get the chance to approach the interlocutor, my phone rang, it was Sara. I could only see her faster than how long it must be if I decline her call, and so that's what I did. In a dim place full of debris, I closed the distance between us.
"Thanks for your service." I welcomed him with gratitude.
"Sure, you owe me. I'll go now, goodluck to you plan, Mr. Savant, hell I thought you've moved on in it."
"Well, if it weren't just for my mother, I won't choose this strategem."
I bid goodbye to him and lead my way straight to Larry's house.
With discretion, I inserted the pistol behind my jeans, and a silencer in it. I wanted to check if ever there's someone in their house but me and him.
I started my formal greetings with a knock.
"Oh woah, mr. Guzman, to what do I owe the pleasure!" He started.
I awkwardingly pointed the gun in him.
Shocked.
The only emotion visible in his face.
"To this." I answered his question pertaining to the gun I held from my jeans.
I did audit the house in transient and if Sara would ever be here, she probably will be in kitchen based on what she told me earlier but no, no one's here but this callous bygone and I.
"Is this what it is all about? Threatening me, Mr. Guzman?" He said in a mocking tone.
Despite his outward which he wanted to be visible, I could still sense the edgy part that permeating him inevitably.
"You see this? How does it feel to be pointed this f*ck*ng gun?" I asked him with a compulsion of calming myself and voice.
"I don't know you nor your background Michael, now if you please, let's talk about this without your imperative tactics.
"You've fooled us once, I won't let you do it twice."
"What really is it you're mad at huh?I am abundantly sure I could explain for that."
I scoffed.
"Remember the case of a mother whom adopted a young boy from her workplace as au pair and was raped by her boss in the process? Oh, let's make this fast, shall we? You may not now who that young boy is and how the crime you let to be committed by an associate just because you were tempted on the bribe affected him, at least you know who's here to retaliate now, right?" I said with a chuckle.
"Y-you? T-the, no, it can't, it just can't, you can't be Christina's adoptive child!"
"Oh I'm flabbergasted. And why is that your honor?"
"The last time I recall about her son, he was adopted and that's when I stopped checking up on him and on where he's up to. I'm telling you Michael we all have regrets that any other people may be heedless about and that's where I was all those years, I really am so sorry for what did happened, I did care for my consecutive cases, I've learned so much."
"Oh sure you did, that it has to cost one precious life, yes? And you know, here's what I think, I couldn't just care less on how sorry you are, now it's me saying sorry for not being sorry."
"So this is what it is all about, making me your bridge to exploit in the process of retaliating?"
No. This isn't real.
"Don't look so surprised. Some burglary type emerging on every scenes of retorting has to be expected. You forgot about the faux keys that you may have is that it or sure, fine, I'll just pretend you forgot about my existence."
"No, Sara, it isn't what you think it is."
"Then what Michael?!" She was hollering that made me terrified the first time I heard her, not anger, her shout feels beyond wrath.
"Your dad has to be sanctioned, not by law but justice."
"And what in a stupid decision are you making?! Are you justice, your hands huh? Come on, don't lie, just tell the truth that this ulterior kinship with my dad pleasures you!"
"Yes it does, it gives me colossal effect, a positive one, thinking that this guy had caused me trouble than you could ever think. But no, hurting him is my motive but the only alibi I have is he's a biddable judge with a problematic traits just for money."
"You're unfathomable." She shook her head and left.
"We're not yet done." I told his dad and followed her.
I didn't know what's on her mind and she did parked her car in adjacent of convenience store where she was earlier as part of my plan.
Oh no.
May kamalasan pa ba na natiira sa mundo na gusto maiparamdam sakin?
Sara was out of nowhere and so is her car. I think I was fooled, from a same family again, really?
I immediately run for my car and try to retrieve my decisions.
I'm So EFFED UP.
I tried to open the door to their house. No one was there for f*ck sake.
