Enmeshed Kinship

The patient of mine who was the reason why I got busy will be undergoing the whipple and we really must maintain the discretion in this not just for the name of the hospital but also for this patient's life who were on the line.

I page my interns so they can start the surgery as soon as possible.I've assigned some of them with another patient, so they won't focus just with one patient and I swear it was chaotic, everyday working with them is chaotic, but they were starting to add up on my number of friends.I'm too young with this,with my job, to have interns, but they considered it kapalit ng trabaho ko if ever I failed in even a miniscule thing.

Almost 6 hours later, we've done the procedure and all we have to do right now is get a 2nd wind, and so we did. It's already 11pm so I've decided to go out with the interns so we can have our lunch. Naagapan yung patient so we didn't take much of the time removing that cancerous tumor in her. 

Our lunch was just as fast as it is, we really do have no choice eh. We ate for only like 30 minutes at ngayon nagpapahinga nalang kami.

"We finished early huh?so where are we going next?" that's  Allison, we're precisely 5 in the table, kahit pang dalawahan lang talaga siya dapat.Pinagdikit lang nila....Asians, really.

"We're not going anywhere, we can't be free, it isn't just one patient we're saving"I sounded old bitter maiden but I have no choice but to kill their joys, I'm definitely a kj, I have no choice though I'm like an opinionated or something.At isa pa just 5 more hours at makakauwi na 'ko, I have to run some errands at lalo na to clarify something with someone.

Without thinking of anyone or anything else, tsaka ko lang napansin na nakatitig sila sakin for like minutes now so I snapped my fingers at them. "Hey, surgery is done, lunch is done, this conversation is done, go on and beat a dead horse." 

Kaya pala apat lang kami kasi umalis yung isa, at ngayon kakabalik lang niya at may dala pang wine. Seriously? He was laughing bago at hanggang pumunta sa seat nya, we were serious kasi alam na din ng interns na hindi ako papayag.

"G NA!"tuwang tuwa siya na kumuha pa ng wine glasses for each of us.

I can feel the ambiance and it was awkward. Some of them tittered, some were also serious and ako? I don't know what I feel, I mean why not?Pero I stayed silent, what the hell am I thinking I could brought them into being fugitive even myself!We can pull someone's leg and that's normal but if we ever agreed into this and come to our workplace then we were like lurking.And right now this guy is getting on my nerves, he's tempting me with that! He keeps on talking, yapping whatsoever like we all were on a good mood so one of them started talking na. "Obnoxious, Read the Room"And there we all started getting back on our car na ginamit namin.See? the chaotic I'm saying is worse.

One time I'm with them, the patient who was obviously despicable asked them when will be the operation kasi he can't wait na daw and my intern was dysfunctional, kulang sa tulog "Paano po? How come na Patient ka?"Ikr I didn't deliver the catch the same way he did.One of them was also asked if when will be her whipple "only when you wiggle" daw, preposterous.  "Bakit po hindi namamatay yung mga taong napuputulan ng kamay pero yung mga taong naglalaslas oo?" Patient din sya, nahawa na sa intern "Hindi ko din alam, try ko sayo?".. I should just remit them to where they're from, but then I can't, they're not honestly redundant.

Same routine, bago ako umuwi dumaan ako sa cafeteria so I can have updates na din on how they manage it and etc. Nag take out nalang ako kasi gusto ko na umuwi hoping for Michael. I said it to myself na mamaya ko nalang siya kakausapin I just don't know why para mamaya thrill? All lights were off and from that time I know na walang tao.

We haven't had texted each other ever since, and I won't start it so nag ready nalang ako sa pagtulog, with my silk sleepwear, I also put chin strap, my jaw once locked kasi.Here I am having trouble sleeping again, kaya I started reading the files baka mamaya it's just one of his jests, probably pulling a prank on me, although he don't look that 'malokong' kind of guy. Formidable, I can say.

It was explicit, I don't think he really found those information just in one day. I mean how could he do that? Is that how gifted he is? Dad would probably get rid of him, and I won't let that happened, I did this, I told him that as his first task. It sounded selfish but I sincerely don't want him to get involve in here, in this little fam. secret's mess."And he isn't already?", something just like whispered on my mind. I mean yes, he is, but things could be more complicated than from what it is already.

I have to bite the bullet just because I don't want everything to go in a wild goose chase,First I have to do my job from hospital, Second the scheming thing for what I've ignorantly done, got impulsive and the third one is the P.I. 

Things in this file isn't just hypothetical, it's pragmatic! He always make me feel agitated, too mysterious, although gumagaan naman everytime na makikipagusap na siya sakin, wala na kasi yung 'formidable' guy na tinutukoy ko. 

I guess I'll just keep this, be my subsequent repertoire pero before I fix those, something caught my attention. Una kong nakita yung phone number niya, and some of his information just in one page. I don't know if I'll take a look kasi curious ako or wag na lang dahil I also don't want when someone invades my privacy. My hand felt itchy (not literally, definitely not because of money) so I read it. With the 'relatives' part, I don't know what to feel, I was shocked. All this time siya yung hinahanap ko? I mean, if that so, alam din niya, bakit ngayon lang siya?At as a private investigator pa?

I heard a chime from my phone so I opened it.

 "Good thing you read it. I have to run some errands, we'll talk about it when I'm done"

He texted.Well, it's obviously him.
