"What's going on?" I sat down next to Grayson.
Jace smirked. "We got that dickhead Bryce and his sister last night."
I frowned. "But I thought-."
He scoffed. "Well you thought wrong, I call the shots." He stood up. "Don't you forget that Dolan." He walked out of the room.
Grayson gave me a worried look. "Ethan, please don't fight with him, not when we're so close—."
I cut him off. "I know, I know, you don't have to remind me. Now, let's go see this sister, shall we?"
Grayson and I walked down the dimly lit hallway, where hostages are usually kept. Corbin stood at the end, guarding room 8.
I pointed to the door behind him. "She's in there?"
He nodded. "Jace said you can go in, try to get anything out of her." He stepped aside. I placed my hand on the doorknob, with Grayson behind me. Corbin stopped Grayson. "He said only one at a time."
I looked at Gray, he nodded, and I opened the door.

I tried for what seemed to be the 156th time to wiggle my hands out of the ropes tied around them.
I sighed in frustration, failing again to release my hands.
I looked around the room I was in for something that could help me. It was a small room, and all concrete, with a single light bulb hanging from the ceiling. The only furniture in the room was the chair I was sitting in. The only person was me, tied to the chair by my feet and hands, with my hands behind my back. My only escape was the door in front of me, which may or may not be locked.
I groaned, taking deep breaths to calm my panic. I will not cry. I sat up and took a deep breath. I can do this. Maybe if I could get over to the door I could....suddenly I heard voices outside the door.
I leaned forward, I couldn't make out any words but they were definitely male. I listened for a few more seconds then the voices got quieter, and the door opened.

I walked into an even dimmer room. My eyes adjusted and I saw a dark-brown haired girl tied to a chair in the middle of the room. I closed the door behind me and took a step closer to her.
She looked up at me with fear in her eyes, but she hid it well as she blinked, looking down.
I shivered, this was harder than I thought it was going to be. I walked a full circle around her. Noticing the red patches on her face from where the chloroform touched her delicate skin. The bruising on her wrists and ankles from the ropes that tied her to the chair. But most of all, the look of pure anger on her face.
She's a fighter.
I tucked that thought away, clearing my throat. "What is your name?"
She took a deep breath, and answered in a steady voice. "Blair Conway."
"How old are you?" I crouched down so that I was at her eye level.
"17."
She meet my eyes straight on, not backing down. Her eyes were a beautiful shade of blue-grey. I bet they shimmer in the sun light-.
I realized how close I had leaned in and backed away.
She didn't skip a beat when she noticed my mistake. "Where am I?" she asked more confidently.
"I can't answer that."
She furrowed her eyebrows, her voice raising. "Well then, who are you?"
I backed away from her. "I can't tell you that either."
Blair's eyes turned dark. "You can't just kidnap someone and act like you didn't kidnap them!"
I shook my head. "Believe me, they can and they will."
She gaped as I put my hand on the door knob, well aware of Corbin listening through the door."I can tell you one thing, you're here because of your brother."
Confusion crossed her features as I slipped out of the room.
