(Ash's POV)

Samantha surprisingly wasn't a terrible person. She was actually easy to talk to and get along with. Which was good sense we were having a baby together. I just hope Cora can come around eventually too.

I know it's not fair to her. Asking her to accept Samantha and my baby she's carrying. But I know my bride. I know she's hurt right now but I also know she'll come around and love my baby as if it was her own. Cora doesn't hold resentment in her heart. Especially not for a baby or child. She'll come around she just needs time right now.

I make sure Samantha is comfortable in the room Cora picked out for her. She was really thoughtful to put her across the hall from us. If Sammy needs to feed in the middle of the night it will be easier with her across the hall. Or goddess forbid something happens, being across the hall will be safer as well.

The fact that my bride put her across the hall is a sign she's slowly coming to terms with it. It made my heart swell with so much love for her.

"You good Sammy? The room is alright?"

"Yes, it's perfect. Thank you Ash. Truly."

She gives me a warm smile. My own smile wavers a little bit. We needed to be on good terms for our baby but I didn't want her to get the wrong impression that her having my baby meant we were going to be together. That will never happen.

"Alright I'm gonna leave you to it. If you need anything at all don't hesitate to ask. Okay?"

"Of course." I gently close the door behind me.

Using my vampire speed I enter mine and Coras room. I'm eager and anxious to see her. It's been a couple hours sense I last seen her and we didn't exactly part on good terms. I wanted to make sure everything was still good between us and if not what I had to do to fix it and make it right.

"Babygirl?" I call out into the empty room but I already know she isn't in here. Her scent was starting to fade from the room.

I open my door back up and try to track her scent but it literally stops at the door. Someone had been through here with cleaning supplies and it completely drowned out her scent. Not really panicking I head for the kitchen. My little bride always seemed to be hungry so I'm sure I'd find her there.

Entering the kitchen I was disappointed to see she wasn't in here. Where was she?

"Has anyone seen Cora?" Everyone shook their heads no. I try to remind myself not to panic because this is a huge castle and she had to be around here somewhere. I leave the room.

Everyone I ran into said they hadn't seen her for awhile. I was trying really hard not to panic but the more people who told me they haven't seen her the harder that was becoming.

I was walking down an empty hall when I just happen to glance out the window and spot Cora sitting on a bench outside facing the woods. Relief courses through me as I turn on my heel and make my way outside to her.

When I finally reach her I stay a little back from her so I can admire her without her knowing.

She was so beautiful it made my heart ache a little bit. Her long curly brown hair reaches her backside as she tilts her head back and angles her face towards the sky to soak up the sun. Her skin was pale like all vampires but it fit her better than it did anyone else.

She had perfect plump cherry red lips. A cute small round nose that fit perfectly in the center of her face. Her face was round but not chunky. She was so tiny that I had a hard time remembering how strong and capable she actually is.
