*Scout's POV*

Getting ready to go on a walk ended up taking a bit longer then Scout expected. The second breakfast was done Scout was ready to run out the door, but (Name) stopped him before he could even reach the front door.

"You probably want to grab your jacket first," (Name) had told him as she stared at her phone. "My weather app on my phone says it's going to be pretty freaking cold today."

Scout had rolled his eyes at that a bit, but did as he was told. However, as he went off to (Name)'s room to get his jacket he couldn't help but let out a cheeky "Yes, mother."

When (Name) heard that she shot Scout a mock glare while Scout only grinned in return. (Name) tossed a pair of gloves that she had pulled out of the coat closet at him only to miss.

"Nice aim!" Scout joked as he left the room.

He could only chuckle a little when he heard (Name) yell at him "We can't all be mercenaries with perfect aim!"

Upon reaching the bed room he quickly grabbed his jacket, and put it on. When he walked back out into the living room (Name) was standing there in a (favorite color) jacket, and with a black umbrella in hand.

"The weather report said there was a pretty strong chance of rain today," (Name) explained. "Figured it would be best to be prepared."

"Makes sense to me," Scout said as he walked toward the door.

"Oh!" (Name) said suddenly. "Before I forget I got something to give you."

Scout turned to look at her only to see that she was holding a key out toward him. It was a simple silver key, and attached to it was a single keychain that looked exactly like the unicorn plush toy that Pyro owned.

"It's my spare key to my house," (Name) said. "It's yours now."

"Thanks," Scout said as he took the key from her.

He studied the keychain for a few seconds, and then said "I might take the keychain off. It's not exactly my style."

"As long as you give the keychain back to me I don't care if you take it off," (Name) said.

Scout nodded as he shoved the key into his pocket. He would mess with it later. For now, they had a walk to go on. The second (Name) opened the door Scout was out the door and standing on the porch. Scout couldn't help but close his eyes, and take in a deep breath. (Name) hadn't been lying. It was rather chilly outside. With that said Scout couldn't say he minded. He was always better at dealing with the cold rather than the heat. The crisp fall air was downright refreshing to the runner.

When he opened his eyes he couldn't help but notice the trees that lined the path of the sidewalks. The tress filled with bright colorful red, yellow, and orange leaves could be seen everywhere. Already the sidewalks were being covered in colorful leaves. It made the whole place look like some photo a magazine would use to portray the perfect autumn day or something.

It was nice to see if Scout was being honest. When they were at the bases located in the Badlands you didn't exactly get to see sights like this. Scout much preferred it when they were stationed at places like Suijin, or Harvest during the fall. The views at those places at the start of fall were always rather beautiful. The fact that the weather there was usually rather mild and pleasant was just a bonus. While Scout had gotten used to the heat of the desert he would never like it.

Shaking any thoughts about some of his favorite battlefields away for the moment Scout looked around a little more. A quick glance up showed that (Name) had been right about it probably raining soon. The sky was a dark stormy gray that made it clear that it would start pouring any second now. Scout hoped it wouldn't start raining until after their walk. Scout moved his gaze away from the sky and started looking at the houses around him. He hadn't really looked around much when they had gone to the mall. Scout had been too busy being fascinated by the fact that (Name) could play whatever song was on his phone on the car radio to really bother looking out the window much.
