I feel like I do a lot of jumping around in this chapter, but I tried to explain the different characters' points of view.  I think I did a decent job of letting the readers know what's going on and who's thinking it??? The bracelet had a gondola, a sneaker, an ocean wave, a survivor ribbon, and a snowflake. It was a beautiful and thoughtful gift.

"Oh Marshall! I love it! It's perfect!" Lilly screamed excitedly.

Lilly POV

Marshall and I woke up early on Christmas morning and I dressed casually in boots and a scarf. When I walked out of our bedroom, Hailie was exiting her room as well.

"Merry Christmas!" Hailie smiled. "Dad give you anything yet?"

"Yes! A charm bracelet!" I showed it off. "Isn't it beautiful?"

"Oh, yes. Very nice." Hailie sounded confused.

"Oh, Happy Birthday." I hugged Hailie and continued downstairs.

Marshall came out of the bedroom.

"What the hell?" Hailie said to her father under her breath. "So, are you doing it today?"

"Nope. Happy Birthday." Marshall answered, kissed her cheek, and proceeded downstairs.

Angel joined Hailie in the hallway.

"Did he ask her yet?"

"He said he's not going to, but he's just kidding, right?"

The family was excited to enjoy our first Christmas together. I placed a punch bowl full of eggnog and several different types of cookies on the island for us to nibble on throughout the day and placed a ham in the oven. The girls had fun preparing sides and desserts for Christmas dinner.

The doorbell rang and it was Nate and his family. Marshall, the kids, and I had waited for them to arrive to open presents. I set the TV to Christmas carols and we all sat around the tree.

The little nephews got to open their toys first. Marshall and my daughters got makeup, clothes, books, and jewelry. Then Dominic opened a big gift from Marshall. It was official DJ equipment! He was awestruck and dapped up with Marshall. I almost cried, I was so surprised and happy for my son. Nate and Ash got me a lovely bath and body gift basket.

"Oh perfect! I love spa stuff! Thank you!"

"Yeah Marshall told us." Ashley said.

I got a pair of luxury boots for every lady in the room. I got Marshall, Nate, and Dom each a fresh pair of Air Maxes.

"Lilly, you really didn't have to." Nate told me.

"It's really nothing." I answered. "I'm a gold member at like six different shoe stores. I get all kinds of crazy deals this time of year."

"Here babe." Marshall handed me a shoebox with big gold ribbon on it.

I opened it to reveal a pair of Jordan 4 Retro Eminem Carhartts!

"Oh my god! Oh my god!" I shrieked.

"And they don't even make those in female shoes. Those were made special just for you." Marshall said.

"I know! I know!" I shouted and almost knocked him over as I jumped into his arms to hug him tight. "I don't even want to wear them. I can't ever get these dirty! They're now the best in my collection!"
