He always believed in that, not bothering much with the fact that they were always far apart. It didn't matter to him as long as she was well and alive, and that whenever he visits she would be there.

No matter how tired the expression on her face looked, he noticed how it lit up upon laying her pale purple eyes upon his figure, where she would now slowly walk up to him instead of running back when she was younger.

And today was no different as he watched her sleeping soundly in his arms, how her slightly chapped lips were parted as she laid against his arm that was beneath her head. How her hands were held together as she continued to sleep peacefully.

Hotaru could only watch then, wondering when would she start to wake up. He had been hearing about how things were getting hectic when it comes to [name]'s duties and he couldn't help but get all worried about her then.

The Hashiras recently had been dropping by as often as they could when they heard he was visiting, and sometimes he could only wonder why. Especially when it was the 21-year-old gang then that would get him dangos to eat.

He could only believe that they were afraid he might end up threatening them all over again in regards to [name]'s safety. Once, Sabito and Obanai had arrived at the estate and carefully slid the bento boxes of dangos to where he sat and he could only raise an eyebrow behind his mask.

And he just placed his mask up a little, covering his eyes as he ate the treats, only to have Sabito speaking what's on his mind and Obanai remained silent about it then.

How [name] had gotten injured during one of their missions and they could only pray for their lives, yet, they looked at him happily eating the dangos. Which they heaved a sigh of relief then that they were going to be alright.

And he had even told them that they could do a better job, encouraging them. Which Sabito whispered to Obanai about something that the dangos were talking and not Hotaru, which Obanai couldn't help but agree.

He heard running footsteps then and he slowly tilts his head up, where he noticed the youngest Hashira was present together with his older twin brother. The Tokito twins tilt their head to the same side at the same time, and soon Hotaru could only remain silent.

He was never good with kids. But he had to be patient given how they were [name]'s "children" in a sense, and he had to be nice to them. Which was often that he bought some things along the way if he remembers for them.

"Hakuryuu-san is still asleep," Muichiro whispered out and Yuichiro nodded his head in response. Hotaru let out a sigh then as he watched as the Tokito twins remained seated at the patio, and he slowly shifted.
