"Mukhang subsob na subsob ka sa trabaho mo dito. Have you had your break yet?" I asked.
"Hmm not yet but I'm good." tipid na sagot nya.
I'm good daw pero mukhang gutom na sya. Namumutla na nga yata. Baka mag collapse pa ito dito yari.
She's concentrating hard on the list that I told her to do. First day of work so gusto nyang magpa impress siempre.
"You look like you could use some food and drinks. Let's go, I'll grab some food na din." yaya ko dahil gutom na rin ako.
"Me?" parang bata na tanong nya.
Ang cute cute lang nya pag nagtatanong na ganyan. Parang she's so naïve, hahaha.
Ang bata pa nya kasi pero okay lang naman ito sa akin basta huwag lang batang isip. Saka bata naman talaga sya sa akin. We're like 10 years apart.
Sobrang tanda ko na pala, oh well.
Kalabaw lang ang tumatanda boss D.
"Hahaha. May iba pa ba akong kausap dito Jessica?" I asked.
"But I haven't finished what you told me to do." sagot nya.
"That can wait. Hindi naman parang slave ang trabaho mo dito. You are entitled to have a break." I said.
"I know pero........" she replied.
Hmmmn, mukhang ayaw nya. Sige huwag pilitin ang ayaw.
"Okay. Ayaw mo yata." mabilis na sabi ko.
"Uy hindi ah. Gusto." mas mabilis na sagot nya.
Aba. Aba. Gusto naman pala hahaha.
"Tara na pala." I said.
"Kita." she whispered something audible but incoherent.
"What????" I asked.
"Wala po. Gutom lang yan Madam." natatawang sagot nya.
Is there something funny kaya? Bakit sya natatawa?
Baka natutuwa po sya boss D.
Naglakad na kami sa pasilyo ng hindi nag iimikan. I was about to lead her into the pantry but my phone rings so I stopped momentarily to answer it. Jessica waited for me at the side.
"Change plan. We'll just have our lunch outside. May urgent meeting pala ako. Let's go." I said after the call.
Kahit naguguluhan yata sya ay sumunod naman sya sa akin. We saw some staff on the way out. Lahat sila ay bumati sa akin but not to my assistant. Why?
Ah hindi pa po nila sya kilala.
Ohh, I have not formally introduced Jessica yet to everyone. Trabaho dapat ng HR ito o kaya ni Valerie. Nasaan na ba ang isang 'yon?
Dapat talaga nilang makilala si Jessica dahil siya ang magiging in charge sa office in case na wala ako at si Valerie. Magiging right hand ko sya so they must also treat her with same respect they gave to me.

That can wait until tomorrow. Kailangan na naming umalis ngayon para maaga kaming makarating sa pupuntahan.
Paglabas namin ay itinuro ko kay Jessica ang way papunta sa parking area near my unit. Hiwalay ang parking space ko, for my privacy and protection na rin. Medyo tago ito at hindi masyadong pansinin.
While we are walking side by side, naalala ko yung naghatid sa kanya kanina. Biglang nag iba na naman ang mood ko at bago ko pa mapigilan ang bibig ko ay nakapagbitaw na agad ito ng salita.
