Dan.is.not.my.boyfriend!

The Triple Date

My phone started bleeping uncontrollably. 'BEEP BEEP BEEP!' Dans eyes widened like an owl. He jumped off the couch mission impossible style, and started getting ready. Whilst he was having a shower. Caleb picked out his outfit, Phil was doing his hair, and me and Hope we're changing our outfits.

I put on an Aztec pattern crop top with high waisted denim shorts and some brown flats, feather earrings and a gold clutch. Hope slipped on a black and white cropped long sleeved t shirt, a black leather skater skirt, some black combat boots and and a black satin choker. I left my hair in a messy bun and put Hopes hair into a side Fishtail.

Phil and Calleb stepped out of the room. Both me and Hope swooned a little when we saw the boys. Dan had quiffed his hair to perfection, and he was wearing his favourite graphic tee with his leather jacket and black skinny jeans. And oh Caleb. His hair was naturally gorgeous, and he was wearing a long sleeved denim shirt and red skinny jeans. They both opened their eyes huge when they saw us. Me and Hope giggled and waited anxiously for Dan to walk through the door.

A couple minutes later, we heard the door slowly creak open. Oh. My. Gee. Dan looked...Perfect! He was hearing a light blue designer polo shirt, some dark blue denim jeans, his leather jacket and black converse. But holy shitaki mushrooms. If Dan wasn't my cousin, I would probably bang. We grabbed our phones, money and car keys, and headed to get Payton.

Dan, Phil and Caleb followed behind me and Hope. A couple minutes later, we got to Paytons apartment. When she stepped out of her house, wow! I remember her having so many boyfriends in primary school, and I knew why. But right now, she could get double- no, triple the amount if boys. She had long bring hair in a messy high pony tail. And she was wearing a floral cap sleeved shirt tucked into a denim skater skirt with some white docs and a light purple choker. But, she was wearing mocking jay earrings. Of course, she was a secret geek. Perfect for Dan.

We said hi, got into my mint coloured mini, and drove to the bowling alley.

We got there in about 15 minutes. We all changed into our bowling shoes, and arranged our teams. Obviously, it was the couples deal. So I typed Caleb and I's name into the machine, then Hope and Phil's, and we waited for Payton to come and enter her and Dan's names. I looked over to them and saw them staring at each other in awe. I entered their names in for them and whilst end them over.

Me and Caleb went first. And ah was impressed! We aced the first round, me with a solid 9, and Caleb with a strike! Next it was Hope and Phil. Hope got a 7 on the first shot, and Phil got a 3. Me and Caleb couldn't help but laugh at how awful Phil was at bowling. He started laughing, and went to go and get everyone drinks. Next, it was Payton and Dan. Dan got a 9 aswell, and Payton waited about until Dan asked what was wrong. 'I'm not very good at bowling, do you think you could teach me?' 'Sure!' Dan said. He held into her hip with one hand, and guided Payton's hand with the other. She pulled the ball back, forward,back,forward,back,forward, BOWL! The ball rolled forward at a good speed. Suddenly, 6,7,8,9, all 10 pins got knocked down! Payton screamed and hugged Dan. It went on like this for a couple more rounds. The final scores were. Hope and Phil with 45, Me and Caleb with 79, and Payton and Dan with 92! 'We should do this more often!' Payton says. Dan started blushing and nodded his head in agreement. We all giggled and headed to the Cheesecake Factory. On the way. Payton let out a big sigh. 'U ok Payton?' I asked from the front seat. 'Yeah, it's just that I really like Dan, but I'm not sure if he likes me back.' 'Payton,' I started, 'the moment the clock struck 5:30 today, he zoomed out if the living room and ran into the shower. He payed so much attention to the way he looked tonight, and he is trying so hard to impress you, it's just he's a little shy.' 'Thanks.' Payton smiled, relaxing into her car seat.

We arrived at Cheesecake Factory and sat down. All the boys acted like proper gentle men, and pushed in our seats for us. We all blushed and started looking at the menu. In the end, I shared an Oreo flavoured cheesecake with Caleb, Hope and Phil shared a raspberry champagne piece, and Dan and Payton dug into a shared piece if peanut butter chocolate cheesecake. We All shared two bottles or red wine between us, and got some fruity cocktails at the end. It was a great night out. Payton said goodbye to all of us, and Adam even got a sneaky kiss before she got into the taxi!

When we got home, Dan was in a daze. His eyes were glazed and he had a dopey smile on his face the whole night. I loved seeing him happy. And I slept very well, feeling like a little matchmaking angel from heaven.
