A huge smile crept up my face as I opened the door. Mum came running in screaming. Pecking me all over my cheeks like a bird. My dad came in, twiddling his grey moustache.(It's a pretty damn fine moustache.) Giving me a jolly laugh and a tight hug.
I welcomed them into the living room, where everyone was sitting. I pulled Dan and Phil up first. 'Hello Danny!' My mum giggled. 'Hi Auntie!' He snickered, rolling his eyes at the old nickname. 'This is his best friend Phil.' I stated. 'Hello Mrs April's Mum.' He said cheerfully. Mum and dad chuckled at this. ' You can call me Sandy' - 'And you can call me Bob!' My parents say.
Caleb looks at me intently and slowly starts to get up. 'And this,' I say happily, 'Is my new boyfriend Caleb.' 'Hello Caleb!' My mum says. 'Thus is probably the only time she's gonna call you by your real name.' I mutter. Everyone starts laughing. 'Welcome to the family, son.' My dad days whilst offering a hand to shake. 'You haven't forgotten me, have you?' Hope says abruptly. 'How could he forget the famous Hope Davel.' Mum tittered.
After the 'Family Reunion,' we all head out to get some froyo. Me and Dan go for the same flavour; Cake batter with milk chocolate chips and Oreo chunks. 'Its in your blood.' Phil jokes. We even go for the same freakin spoon colour, mint blue.
We get back to the house, and mum and dad head back to their hotel. Me and Dan hug them goodbye, and lock the front door.
We all go into the living room for our infamous 'Movie night.' Tonight, It's If I stay, and Grown Ups 2.
I snuggle up to Caleb and run my fingers through his hair. He's very ticklish, and reaches to itch his scalp. I look over to his arms, and see very faint scars underneath one of his brightly coloured tattoos. 'Hey guys.' I say. 'Start movie night without us, I just need to talk to Caleb for a couple of minutes.'
