chapter fifteen | big time dance

Rosalie sat in the lobby of the Palm Woods along with Jo, Camille, and their newfound friend Stephanie - whom the blonde had introduced everyone to. The four girls were happily talking about the upcoming school dance that had been organized mere moments ago by the four boys of Big Time Rush.

"Rosie, you're seriously not going to accept anyone's proposal to the dance?" Camille asked after witnessing Rosalie reject another boy who had come up to ask her to the dance. Rosalie smiled tightly and shook her head, "I just don't want to go to the dance with a date."

Jo raised an eyebrow, "Isn't that the whole point of a dance?"

"I guess I'm just different." Rosalie chuckled nervously, playing with her blonde locks that were down in loose waves.

While the other three girls have been talking about hopefully getting dates with Kendall, Logan, and Carlos respectfully - Rosalie didn't favor having a date to the dance herself. One of the reasonings that dating for herself was difficult, there were times in which Rosalie had to separate herself from Juliette, but there are also times in which she has to think as one person. This being one of those times. While Juliette was dating Dak, Rosalie still felt it was unfair to be able to date another person as herself and thus denied any opportunity for it to happen.

In an attempt to move the attention from herself and her lack of date, Rosalie pointed out the familiar four boys who were making their way over to the girls. Jo immediately brightened up upon seeing Kendall.

"Oh, here comes Kendall. I think he's gonna ask me to the dance." Jo said hopefully.

"Jo, hey I need to ask you something." Kendall said, looking down at the girl. Jo grinned and gestured for him to continue as Rosalie shared a look with Camille behind her. "Could you go to the convenience store and get them to donate some snackage for the dance?"

Rosalie sighed, her shoulder falling as she realized that Kendall was very oblivious at the moment to Jo's want to be asked to the dance. In an attempt to save her friend, the blonde spoke up, "Sure, she will, Kendall. But, is that the only thing you wanted to ask Jo?"

Glancing between the smiling Jo and Rosalie who was raising an eyebrow at him, Kendall thought about it for a moment before nodding, "Oh, no, um, could you get some sodies too?"

"Sure." Jo stood up from her seat and began to make her way out of the lobby.

Standing up to follow her friend, Rosalie reached up and smacked Kendall over the head, causing him to wince. "Idiot." The blonde muttered, rolling her eyes as she brushed past the group and began jogging to catch up with her friend.

"I can't believe he didn't ask me!" Jo exclaimed, practically stomping through the streets as the two girls made their way back to the Palm Woods with their hands full of bags with snacks and drinks. For the entirety of the trip to the store and the way back, Jo had been complaining about Kendall's lack of sense to ask her to be his date and while Rosalie happily engaged in the conversation in the beginning, she was starting to feel a little drained out by it.

The blonde glanced inside the bags she was holding, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion "I can't believe that the owner just offered all of the snacks and drinks for free."

"Does he think that we aren't an item?"

"Do you think there might be something wrong with them? Expired, maybe?"

"Maybe I'm thinking too much into this."

"I'm just saying - people don't just give away free food and drinks without something being wrong with them."
