Todoroki's perspective:
I hate feelings. They make me confused and I don't understand them. People can be so confusing. Endearing, but confusing. I knew I liked her but I didn't know how she felt and what her reaction would be if I told her. I can't help but feel the need to keep her safe from the world, even though I know she's anything but helpless.
"Hey, Shoto!" I looked up, breaking away from my thoughts as she ran over to me, a tray balanced precariously on one arm with the other wrapped tightly around her notebook.
"Hey Eliza. I'm surprised you didn't drop the tray coming over here." She slid into the seat across me with a laugh,
"Come on Sho, I'm not that clumsy!!" She glanced at my lunch tray with a smile, "Soba again I see?"
"It's-"
"Your favourite." She finished with a grin, "I'm well aware."
"Whats in the notebook?" I asked curiously as I spun it around to read the title right side up. Finding it blank though I moved to open it, only to have it snatched away by Eliza. I looked up and her ears were pink. "Are you sick?" I asked her, genuinely confused.
"Nope- nope, not sick. Um- I was just working on redesigning part of my costume to give me more mobility to like, swing around I guess? The leather originally used didn't give me the flexibility amount I had in mind so I was hoping the support department would be able to help me out." She shoved the notebook back into her bag and closed the clasp. She came up and rubbed her ears in an embarrassed mannerism. "Hey can I have some soba?" She asked suddenly,
I nodded, "Of course, just as long as I get some rice." She nodded and we swapped trays, eating a bit from the others before swapping back and continuing on with lunch, discussing our most recent lesson with Eraserhead, our homeroom teacher.

Eliza's perspective:
Later that day I was in my room, absently combing through knots in my curly hair while I read a book that was popular in America and more English speaking parts of the world. I had been meaning to read it for a while now but hadn't had the time with all the homework I'd been getting.
I was hardly through the third chapter when there was a knock at the door. I figured it might be Yaoyorozu coming to get me for dinner but upon looking at the clock, realized it was much too early for that.
I stood and opened the door, surprised to see Shoto standing there, "Hey. Can we talk?" He asked. I looked at him, confusion all over my face before managing a nod and stepping backwards to let him in. I closed the door behind me and flopped down on the bed, Shoto sat on one end and I sat on the other.
"So, uh- what's up Shoto? This was kind of sudden and random. Did something happen?" He smiled lightly, he hardly ever smiled nowadays and I felt the seething snake of hate rear up in the pit of my stomach as his father immediately crossed my mind.
"No nothing bad..." He trailed off, I studied his dual coloured eyes. He didn't seem to be in distress, just... comfortable.
"Hey Sho you're scaring me. Whats up?" I half heartedly threw a pillow at him. He caught it with another one of his small smiles. Aaaaand I'm getting butterflies. Why is he so pretty?!
He stared at the wall for a moment before opening his mouth, about to say something but then immediately shutting it and shoving the pillow to his face. "Sho?" I asked, concerned for real now as I pulled the pillow down. He didn't really resist it so I figured it was ok.
His eyes were looking anywhere but me and his cheeks were dusted pink and going redder by the minute. It was absolutely adorable that he was so flustered. I didn't even know what he was flustered about but it was cute.
"Eliza?"
"Hm?"
"I- ah fuck."
I gasped mockingly, "Shoto! Watch your language!" I teased. He grinned and shook his head, looking down at his fidgeting hands. He was nervous about something and I wanted to help but I didn't know what was wrong.
"Ok, I'm going to say this really fast and then I might regret it later when a worm of anxiety comes at me but I'm still going to say it ok?" I nodded, understanding.
"Ready." I said, with an encouraging smile.
"I- I think I like you Eliza." He said it in a rush then let out a breath of air in relief.
Whatever I had been expecting it was most certainly not that.

Todoroki's perspective:
I let out a breath of relief that I hadn't known I had been holding. I glanced up, nervously, at Eliza. She was staring straight ahead with a look I couldn't quite determine. Then she did something I hadn't been expecting. She laughed. She leaned backwards with a hand over her eyes and smiled, trying to hold back laughter. I didn't expect this from her.
"Sorry. Forget I said anything. See you at dinner Mezire." I stood and walked towards the door, I didn't like this feeling. Heartbreak. I didn't like it one bit. It hurt.
"No! No wait- Shoto!" I had my hand on the door when she pulled me back around and kissed me, my eyes widened. She pulled away shortly, her face crimson from embarrassment. "I wasn't laughing at you silly! I was laughing at me!" I must have had a funny expression on my face because she smothered a giggle before going over to her school bag and pulling out the notebook from earlier.
She looked at the book for a moment before looking back up at me. "I didn't want you to read this at lunch because it's my diary." She chuckled, "Call me childish if you want, it just helps me keep my thoughts in order. Like Midoriya's hero analysis. It's got a ton of embarrassing stuff in there. A lot of it is about you and I didn't know if I was ready for you to know or not."
We sat down on her bed, she glanced at me again before crawling to a sitting position beside me and pulled me into a hug. "I'm sorry Sho. I didn't mean to hurt you."
"Women confuse me..." I mumbled and she burst out laughing "Be my girlfriend?" I asked quietly.
"Of course dummy."
"Thats mean."
"Eh. You'll live." I smiled and hugged her tighter. God she's perfect.
