Chapter 16

*Kylie*

"No way!" I yelled at Luke as we walked into school.

"Yes way! Stop fighting me on this! I'm right" He shot back ripping his arm from around my back and facing me.

"No! I'm always right! And The Avengers is way better than the Justice League. I mean The Avengers has Thor." I told him with an obvious look on my face. He rolled his eyes.

"Oh. You're one of those girls who watches super hero movies just for the hot guys." He said playfully glaring at me.

"Of course. Why else would I watch them" I said playing along before we both started laughing. I fell back into his arms and we continued walking to my locker while laughing slightly.

"You know what I just realized?" I raised my eyebrows at him before looking to my locker. " WE never went on a proper date."

"Huh. I guess we didn't." I said realizing it as well. "We should do that. This weekend though because I'm throwing a birthday party for me and Kaiden next weekend." I said excitedly. He nodded and I closed my locker and we began walking to his.

"We should make it a double date. I haven't been able to hang out with Harry much recently so we should invite him." I said looking up at him. He just looked down at me and gave me a strained smile.

'What's up with him?' I asked myself as I went to class.

I was standing in the lunch line with Harry just chatting when Niall came up. I had forgiven Niall a few days ago and we decided to start over.

"Hey Niall" I said before turning around to grab my food and continued down the line.

"Hey Kylie. Hey Harry." He replied smiling widely. We all grabbed our lunches and paid before walking over to the table I usually sit at with Kaiden.

"Hey guys" I said turning to Harry and Niall. "Me and Luke were thinking of going on a date and I was wondering if you guys wanted to bring dates and make it a group thing." I said with a hopeful look in my eyes. I really wanted to hang out with them. They were basically my only friends nowadays.

Niall smiled and nodded yes (he was such a smiley guy) while Harry had more of a skeptical look on his face.

"I don't know. What does Luke think?" He asked me.

"Who cares what Luke thinks. I miss hanging out with friends. But I'm sure Luke would love for you guys to come." I left out the part where Luke wasn't exactly ecstatic that I had mentioned bringing Harry, let alone if i mentioned Niall coming. This should be interesting to explain.

"I mean, if you think he won't mind" Harry said.

"Great!" I said smiling. The biggest smile I had ever seen broke out onto Harry's face. We both just starred at each other smiling for a couple minutes until we heard a throat clearing behind me. I turned around and saw Luke standing there glaring at Harry.

"Hey Luke!" I said happily. He just looked at me with an unhappy look on his face before plopping into the seat next to me.

"Hey." he said grumpily. I looked at everyone at the table and everyone just gave me a look as if they were all in on something that I didn't know. I placed my hand on Luke's thigh to try to get him to look at me. He glanced up at me and I shot him a smile. I wasn't sure how he was going to react but I was put in a better mood when his lips quirked up on the sides.

I turned back to everyone and joined into the conversation. I was just in time to hear Niall ask me a question.

"So should bring a date with me on Friday?" He asked clearly directing the question at me.

"Yea of co-" I was cut off by Luke shooting his head up.

"What do you mean Friday?" He said turning his piercing gaze onto me.

"Kylie invited me and Harry to hang out with you guys on Friday." He said clearly confused.

"What!?" He said glaring at me again.

"Yea." I said shyly looking down. He scoffed before pushing the chair back and storming off.

"Woah. Looks like someone has anger issues. Might wanna go calm him down." Kaiden said from across the table. I flicked him off before following where Luke had left the cafeteria. I saw him storming down the hallway towards the front entrance.

"Hey Luke! Luke wait! Stop!" I yelled towards him while running towards him. I finally reached him and grabbed his arm.

"Hey!" I said whipping him around to face me. "Hey what's wrong?" I asked him with a concerned look on my face.

"What's wrong! My girlfriend invited not one but TWO boys who are in complete love with her to go hang out with us! Like, what the fuck! Think Kylie! Why the hell would you invite them!? Are you stupid!?" he screamed in my face. I felt my eyes start to water.

"They're my friends. I didn't think it would be big deal." I said looking down slightly in embarrassment.

"Of course you didn't! Don't be so naive. Do you like having three boys worship at your feet!?" He continued. I looked at him with a shocked look on my face.

"What's wrong with you? Luke I don't care about them. I love you!" I yelled at him. I can't believe he said that to me. His eyes softened for a second before hardening again.

"Whatever Kylie. I gotta go." He said before turning around.

"No! Luke! Don't do this again! You always do this! You always leave me! Don't do it again!" I yelled at his back.

"Please." I added to weak to continue to fight him. He froze and his head turned slightly to the side before he shook his head continuing out the door.

Leaving me by myself again.
