"Why didn't she call?" I ask crying.

Mom hugs me and gently rubs my back. My phone rings and I quickly pick it.

"How can I not when you're lying to my face about everything? You leave for 3 days to go see your family in New York. Then I found out you were with a girl in Arizona." I shout.

"That's why I didn't want to tell you! You accuse me of things I never did, you're making me want to leave you." Y/n shouts.

I slap her and Y/n grabs her face.

"Why would you do that?" She asks starting to cry.

"You know I've been abused my whole life." She says pushing me away.
