"You're getting married." My mom tells me

"Toh mama"

" Kin ji ta da kyau koh?" My grandmother scolds, that woman screams for no reason always shouting I'm afraid she already has blood pressure,poor poor woman

"Kaka na ji"

"His name is Huzaifah he'll be coming next tomorrow that's Friday so please be ready"

" In Shaa Allah mama"

" Your dad wants to see you, ya na daki". I could only nod my head , what the hell is happening? Why aren't I going haywire or screaming? my hair all over the place?  Why am I cool? Well I hope it's not going to be a very stupendous person cause I  will  go right ahead and cancel this wedding I really don't care.

"Salamu'alaikum baba na shigo?" I honestly hate knocking I always bruise my knuckles,like you have a hole on your face to ask permission right?. Right now what I'm feeling is....? Weird I'm okay with this? Oh ya Allah.

"Shigo" I sit beside him

"Sakina"

"Baba"

"I believe your mother and grandmother told you what is going to happen to you?"

" Yes Baba"

" I want you to have faith in Allah mamana I'm really not forcing you into this but as we all know your grandmother won't hear any of it,I am so sorry my love,she says he's the best person for and I kind of agree but if you meet him and you don't want this wedding fine by me"

" Baba it's really okay, I'm okay with the wedding surprisingly,I haven't reacted in any negative way"

" Mamana I know you more than any of my children, you'll go crazy when everything sinks in" he laughs making me join him at 58 my father still looks as handsome as ever , I'm not saying this because he is my dad or anything but honestly speaking he's such a fine man Masha Allah.

"Baba no I won't, you're making me look as if I'm a drama queen"

"Oh really?" He raised a brow

" Baba" I groaned

" Sakina let's be serious here aure ba abun wasa bane, this is your life partner we are talking about, the one whose feet ,your Jannah lies under " there we go Baba never talks straight he always twist things, for  example? a normal person would say pass me the sugar please but Baba? Please I need the sugar to be passed

"Respect him Mamana , I and your mother are striving to teach you how to act with your spouse but we weren't the best parents, for these past years hmm?"

" Baba no, you've been the best parents anyone could ask for and I love you just the way you are, with your flaws and all, no one is perfect" a lone tear makes its way down my face as I hold onto Baba's knee

" Okay this session is over , I don't want my Amarya stressed " he laughed wiping my tears" come on go now your brothers must be waiting for you"
