ALL you have to do is find that stupid smiley faced bastard and get some information, you got this. Come on y/n, you can do this.

y/n took a deep breath, leaning against the counter on her hands as she stared at herself in the restroom mirror. Red lipstick and soft, hazel eyes stared her down. She nodded to herself confidently, she looked good in red. She glanced down, hiking up the dress to make sure her handgun was still strapped to her thigh before patting the fabric down with a small sigh. It was only for safety, god forbid this dumbass tries to pull anything. She made her way out of the restroom and onto the main floor, plenty of people crowded the area. She was not ready for this, but work is work and Techno would have her head if she didn't complete this mission. It was too important to let down.

Just act clueless, he'll be here any moment.

Dream was across the room in no time, so she casually sifted through the crowd, acting as though she was a newbie. She was to this place at least. The two of them had a weird relationship, they were enemies but at the same time there was also a strange tension. This is exactly why Techno sent her in since she was the only person Dream seemed to react positively to. She bumped into him on purpose, gasping to play it off,"I'm so sorry! I was looking for someone and happened to not be paying attention. I'm really sorry."

"It's not a big deal, accidents happen. Try to pay attention though, you don't want your pretty face hurt, y/n," Dream smirked with a small laugh at her slightly shocked expression. The way her name slipped off the tip of his tongue made a toxic feeling of need bubble within her. He didn't waste time, getting straight to the point,"What actually made you come here?"

"I told you. I was here with someone, but they left so now I'm just wandering trying to find myself a new date," She kept up with her lies even if he could see right through her.

"What if I'm your date? No one said we couldn't have a little fun."

y/n was quiet, not a peep coming from her normally loose trap. She was processing what the male had said, wanting to both give him a damn black eye and drag him to the center of the dance floor for that information. She didn't get a choice as her hand met a calloused one and before she could even begin to say anything, they were close and swaying. She hesitantly put her hand on his shoulder, her other hand still in his. Her hands felt like they had stuck to glue, from the outside it looked as though she had touched poison.

"Why the hell would I want you as my date?" She suddenly spat harshly, maybe a hint of uncertainty laced in. The smug look on Dream's face seemed to drop for a moment before he put the persona back on. She chose not to notice or didn't care, she wasn't sure.

"Shush, I've seen the way you look at me. Don't act like that," He teased, leading her back a step but bringing her ever so subtly closer to his chest.

"Yeah okay, because I would ever love a cocky asshat like you," Her cold exterior was slowly melting the more she looked at the man in front of. He usually had that stupid mask on, but it was no where to be seen tonight. It left nothing up to the imagination, not that it was far from what she thought he really looked like. Freckles splattered across the pale skin of his now slightly rosy face. His emerald eyes stared down with a sparkle of admiration and mystery. She could feel her heart beating just a bit quicker than normal. She had never been this close to him.

Shake it off, you hate him. Stop looking at him.

"I like what you did with your hair, it's nice," His compliments went straight to her heart, her breath going short. He definitely knew how to properly flatter women. She pushed a bit away from him, her brain too flustered to handle it.Her eyes had fallen to the side as she tried to ignore his stupid fluffy, blonde hair and his ridiculously soft lips,"y/n, don't be like that."

"Shut up dimwit," She snapped, though he only laughed and pulled her closer again by her waist.

"God, you're really cute. I don't think I've ever met anyone else just like you," Sly motherfucker. He was really starting to get to her head as she subconsciously leaned into his touch just a little,"Come on, look at me."

"I want to curb stomp your pretty face," She mumbled as she glanced back up to meet his eyes which were less than a foot away by now. She nearly stumbled back but he insistently held her close.

"I would love for you to, darling," Dream's smile had reached a new level of excitement. She had just called him pretty after all. She could kick his ass right here and he'd still be happy for the rest of the week. He'd been trying to get her attention for months, endless flattery, lies to see her, and chasing after her. All his efforts seemed to run dry.

"When will you be done?" Clearly y/n was talking about the project, but she didn't want to outright say it in case someone around them heard.

"There's no information, if that's what you're intending to get out of this."

"What?" y/n slowly came to realize what his statement meant. She sighed angrily,"Let me go."

"Why?" He whined,"Isn't this nice? Don't you ever just want to.."

He gently cupped the back of her neck and leaned down. There wasn't a lot of room between them, hazel meeting green once again. He was silently asking for permission, a plead in those hopeful eyes. y/n's senses had taken over, she couldn't control herself as she nodded ever so slightly. She finally got to meet those soft lips she could barely keep her eyes off of. She knew this was all in the moment and they would hate each other again soon, but he was right. No one ever said enemies can't have some fun.

"Do you want to get out of here?" Dream asked quietly as he separated. He wasn't sure what his intent was anymore, but he just wanted to spend more time together. Away from all the eyes of rich, judging pricks.

"Hell yes," She practically begged, anything to leave the uncomfortable crowd. Whatever happened would happen at this point, her heart was controlling her. Anything she did was heavily emotional and at this point, did it really matter?

Dream placed a hand on the small of her back, as she let go of his shoulder, and carefully weaved them through the crowd. They made it outside with combined sighs of relief. He grinned dumbly as he glanced over at her, quickly pressing a kiss to her cheek. She glared lightly at him but he just winked.

"This does not mean we're cool," She was in some sort of daze in a mix of hatred and love, but he was totally okay playing with it.

"I know," He grabbed at her waist and found his way to her lips again. She didn't fight it, instead throwing her arms over his shoulders.

"I hate you so much," She muttered as they pulled away for a breath only to go back to kissing.

"I love you too," He smirked, not even leaving her lips. His hands continued to rest politely on the lower end of her hips as they finally broke off. He brushed some hair out of her face, admiring her flushed cheeks before his hand returned to her side,"Is Agent O-98 coming home with me tonight or does she have to report back?"

"I really should report back..but screw it," She smiled as he cheered, she rolled her eyes,"Dumbass."
