TRIGGER WARNINGS- panic attacks, please skip if this affects you.

DISCLAIMER- I don't have true panic attacks so this is a mix of research and my own knowledge of myself panicking. sorry if it's not entirely correct.

a/n- This is a series, 5 times Ricky needed help from a Panic attack (caused by stress or his parent's divorce)... if you can't tell the one-shots I come up with work best with Ricky because we know so much about his home life.

General POV- The Bowen Household.

"WE TRIED TO WORK IT OUT!" Lynne yelled.

"WELL, THAT ISNT WORKING NOW IS IT?" Mike yelled back.

The fighting had started over a discussion of what to do when Ricky got home from rehearsal. Ricky opened the door to the yelling. He stood there in shock at what was going down before him.

"M- m- mom? Dad?" He managed to get out after about 10 minutes.

His parents turned at the sound of his voice.

"Ricky honey can you go upstairs for a little bit? We just need a minute to talk something out." Lynne said oddly calm.

"It'll be quick bud no worries." Ricky was shaking a bit and he didn't now why, but he nodded at his dads comment and ran upstairs.

The yelling continued and Ricky put his earbuds in to tune it out. Ricky was doing a good job tuning it out until he heard his parents start cursing at each other. He had never heard them curse before. Ricky was starting to panic. He didn't know what to do until he started hyperventilating. He called Big Red, the only person he could count on at this moment. Thinking about Nini didn't help him calm down.

"Hello?" Red's voice came from the other end of the line.

"H- h- help m- me." Ricky struggled out.

"Ricky! What's wrong. Where are you??" Ricky could hear the concern laced in his best friend's voice.

"My parents are fighting and they are cursing and it's bad. I can't breathe please just come help me. I don't care what they say just walk inside, they probably won't notice." Ricky managed to force out between broken sobs and gasps of air.

"I'll be there in 2 ok? Hold on for me man you're gonna be ok. Big Red III to the rescue!" Red hung up the phone and rushed out the door.

"MOM I'm going to Ricky's house really quick he needs help with something!"

"Ok don't come home too late, it's a school night." Big Red nodded and ran outside.

He skated the quick route to his best friend's house as fast as he could. Being there exactly 2 minutes later he just walked inside. He heard the yelling from the front porch. Ricky was right too, his parents didn't even notice him come in. He dropped his stuff and ran upstairs to his best friend. Big Red pushed Ricky's door open when he got to the top of the stairs.

"Ricky! Oh my god." He said running over to his best friend who was hyperventilating on his bed.

Ricky was crying so hard it hurt when he would gasp in. Red sat in front of the boy and took his hands in his.

"Ricky! Ricky, please I need you to look at me. I need you to copy my breathing." Ricky looked his best friend in the eyes and tried.

"I- I- I can't!" He struggled out.

"Yes, you can. Breathe in, breathe out, come on repeat after me." Big Red placed Ricky's hand over his heart so Ricky could try to mimic the beat. He was calming down a little bit. "That's it, buddy. Count with me. 1... 2.... 3... 4... 5..."
