I wake up in my bed Sunday morning, sunlight streaming through the window. Prentiss snores softly beside me. It's been three weeks since we first had dinner together, and things are going according to plan. She stirs, turning to face me.
"Morning, sexy," she whispers.
"Morgan? What have you done with Emily?" I tease. She groans.
"Never say that again."
"No promises."
We lay there quietly for a while, before she finally breaks the silence.
"A few members of the team are getting drinks tonight, do you want to come with me?"
"Sounds great. But what do they think I am to you?" I have to force her hand, get her to say it first.
"I haven't told them you're my girlfriend yet, but they know I've been seeing someone."
A more perfect sentence could not have come out of her mouth right now. Just as I'd hoped.
"Girlfriend, huh?" I ask, rolling over until I'm on top of her.
"Like the sound of that?"
"I do," I say, bending down and biting her lip. She pulls my shirt over my head, her hands cupping my breasts. I grab my strap from the nightstand, pulling the black harness over my legs as she undresses. I straddle her once again, slowly pushing the length of the plastic between her legs. Each thrust is slow and measured, her hands braced on my ass as she moves her hips to meet mine. Her breathing is slow and heavy, I can feel the rise and fall of her chest beneath me as I mark her neck. She moans softly as she finishes, her tensed muscles relaxing. I move to the side, removing the strap and putting my shirt back on. I kiss her softly, leaving the room to make coffee for us. She follows me shortly, leaning against the counter.
"I'll pick you up around 8 tonight," she says. "Look hot."
"That's my default," I say.
"I'd better get home," she says, rinsing her cup. "See you tonight." She pulls her shoes on and walks out. Finally, I'm alone. She's not the worst person I've ever had to fake a relationship with while working an angle, but I much prefer to be alone. Something about the silence of an empty room puts me in the right headspace. No outside influence, no distraction, just my thoughts. After all, no one knows me better than I know myself.

I hear a knock on my door at 7:45. She's early, but I've been ready. I pretend not to notice her look me up and down as I exit, locking the door behind me. We walk out to her car together, and she opens the door for me. Interesting.
As we walk up to the entrance of the bar, I take her hand. I know it will be the first thing the profilers see when we walk in. I follow behind her as she walks up to the table where Garcia already sits.
"She's the girl you've been seeing Emily?" Garcia asks. "Nice to see you again!"
"Nice to see you too," I say. Prentiss drops my hand, her arm snaking around my waist.
"Hey guys," Jareau says, sharing a look with Garcia at the sight of Emily's hand on my hip.
"Hi," I say, flashing a smile.
"I'm going to get us drinks," Prentiss says. She makes a point to kiss me as she walks away. She's making it too easy for me.
"So," Jareau says "How did that happen?"
"Spill," Garcia says, leaning in.
"Well obviously we met at O'Keefe's a few weeks ago. I slipped her my number and we just hit it off."
"Ok first of all, thank you for leaving me my chocolate thunder," she says. Her and Morgan's relationship makes absolutely no sense to me.
"Secondly, she has never told us about someone she's seeing this soon, much less invited them to hang out with us. What kind of spell have you put her under?"
"That's X-rated information Penelope," Emily says, placing drinks in front of us.
"Details later," Garcia stage whispers, winking. She's funny, I think I rather like her.
"Does Morgan know?" Jareau asks. "Because I'm pretty sure I heard him talking about Katie on the plane a couple days ago."
"I haven't quite found the right time to drop that on him," Prentiss says. "I think he'll take it personally."
"Oh he so will," Garcia says.
"You sure do have some effect on people," JJ says.
"Better not let Will near her," Garcia jokes.
"I'm not near to steal anyone's man," I say. "Emily is just perfect. But tell me about this Will." I don't know much about him aside from that they have a child together, Henry. Henry will be useful later on. My phone in the back pocket of my jeans has been recording our whole conversation. I'll go over it later for finer details I may have missed. Jareau tells me all about Will, sensing my genuine interest. She shows me pictures of Henry, and tells me all about how he's starting preschool soon. I think she is beginning to trust me, at least enough to tell me small details about her family.
"Do you have any family in Virginia?" She asks.
"No one. My law firm transferred me here." Its not entirely a lie. The organization I work for has multiple offices around the world, using law as a front.
"Wow, a lawyer," she says. "The BAU doesn't have a great track record with lawyers."
"Well I'll never see you in court, but maybe I can fix that record on the outside."
"As far as I'm concerned, lawyers are a gift to the world." Prentiss says.
"And so are FBI agents," I say. I mean it too, these agents really are doing exactly what I need them to. That's certainly a gift.
"I don't speak for JJ," Penelope says, changing the topic. "But Katie whatever-your-last name-is, you are officially invited to girls' night from here on out.
"I'll drink to that," JJ agrees. I raise my glass, covering my smirk as I down it's contents.
