A.J had finally heard from Hermione about the Defence classes they wanted to hold. She had been invited to the first discussion, which was to happen in the Hog's Head, on Saturday – the first Hogsmeade weekend.

It had been a month at Hogwarts, and Terry and A.J no longer just flirted with each other, they were an item. A very talked about one. Terry and Aaron had started joining the Gryffindor table for breakfast and lunch at times. Aaron, though not as handsome as Terry, took a liking to Alicia Spinnet.

As the Hogwarts Castle was huge, there were many places the couple went to make out. Once they were caught out in one place they moved to another.

Fred and George stumbled across them together in the seventh-floor corridor just down from the entrance to Gryffindor common room.

George stared at his brother, who also sneered, before clearing his throat loudly. A.J and Terry pulled apart slowly and turned to the pair. Terry's hands still around her waist.

A.J raised her eyebrows at them.

"Shouldn't you be getting back to your common room? It's after curfew." Fred said accusingly to Terry.

A.J adjusted the badge on her chest pointedly. "We have permission to be out. What's your excuse?"

"He doesn't have permission to be." George nodded his head towards Terry without making eye contact.

"You'd better go. I'll see you tomorrow." A.J kissed him again.

Terry pulled her close, drawing out the kiss, and sliding his hands lower down her back. Both twins cleared their throats.

After one last peck on the lips, Terry left. A.J's eyes followed his retreating figure until he rounded the corner and was out of sight. Then she turned back to the twins.

"Seriously, because he's a "Slytherin" thing?" She rolled her eyes.

"No!" George shot indignantly.

"Don't you already have a boyfriend?" Fred asked incredulously.

"No." A.J walked past them, stopping at the portrait hole to usher them in ahead of her.

October came with the first weekend trip to Hogsmeade.

It was a bright, but windy day. A.J had met with Mundungus Fletcher early that morning in Hogsmeade. He was the one tailing Harry today, so she let him know their plans of meeting people in the Hogs Head. He was dressed as a witch, with a full length thick, black veil and his nose was all you could see, as the veil clung to it.

A.J was back at Hogwarts in time to meet Terry, ready to line up and get their names marked off by Filch.

Harry, Ron and Hermione were at the front of the queue and Filch was sniffing Harry for traces of Dungbombs. Terry took A.J's hand and they followed behind the trio all the way into Hogsmeade. But Terry had taken her to the Three Broomsticks, while they headed to the Hogs Head.

Safe in the knowledge that Harry already had a tail, she went on to enjoy herself.

Meeting up with Mundungus later that day, A.J had heard the whole story of the meeting in the Hogs Head. Twenty-five students had turned up, and Mundungus mentioned the barman looked horrified.

They were looking at meeting once a week, though hadn't found a place to meet. Hermione had them write their name down on parchment and agree not to tell anybody what they were planning.

.

A.J was aware that things were moving along with Terry. The trip to Hogsmeade together yesterday had confirmed that it was getting serious. He wouldn't be satisfied with snogging and light groping for much longer. So on Sunday afternoon when they were both in the library together, A.J didn't wake him when he fell asleep on her shoulder. She took this opportunity to place doubt in his mind. After about ten more minutes of pretending to do the potions essay – she finished last week - she gently shook him awake.
