A response to a tweet my ex made saying that my name was removed from memories. That I was fading. It hurts to know that someone you spent so much time with doesn't even remember your name. But, as the poem states... this was a pretty common thing amongst our relationship.
When I finally realized that the relationship was truly over. I knew we would never get back together, and of course I didn't want to... but there's just something about seeing my ex with someone else that cuts pretty deep.
The second song I've ever written. It speaks on the vulnerability I felt in a relationship and how that was taken for granted. It also touches on the fact that love is so powerful. A poem about a love lost that will ever be present in the speaker's mind when he sees cotton candy.
This poem is about the struggle of a relationship when one person wants a little more than what the other can give.
This poem tells the story of a love that was so cute in the beginning. One that everyone was rooting for just like in "Sixteen Candles," "Wedding Singer," etc. But, it unfortunately starts to unravel as the speaker realizes the hurt he experiences due to his love.
This is the first poem I've ever written, and it came to me all at once. It chronicles someone who realizes that his relationship isn't quite as loving as he once thought. This is the finished product, and I hope you enjoy it.
