When the world is split into quadrants through ruthless aggregation of countries and massacre of countless innocents, sometimes a sane voice rises above the rest to propose a solution which sheds the least blood and benefits the rest There are times when no peace lasts a few days necessitating the sacrifice of a few to benefit the surviving. There is no advantage too small in a war and advantages are acquired through wisdom and wisdom through knowledge. Knowledge can be acquired from anyone and anything. If you could gain knowledge who would you gain it from!!!!!

Class Assignment These are fictional people that I created with stories based on actual experiences and events that I discovered when researching my research position essay. Immigrants and children/descendants of immigrants face challenges similar to these in their lives. If they don't act like a 'typical American' then we view them as being very different and strange. Or we may see them as just their culture and not an individual. I represented this by making the characters each a figure from mythology/folklore.

Xavier Averdium has grown up in the lap of luxury. Unfulfilled and bored, he drifts through life like a feather. No goals or objectives, except to be the perfect heir his mother expects him to be. After an unfortunate circumstance finds him in the middle of nowhere surrounded by the people he was raised to destroy, Xavier must learn to let go of his arrogance and entitlement in order to survive a notorious Captain and her fleet of mercenaries on a journey that will take him to the darkest parts of his kingdom, the parts of history that he was never taught in school. Forcing him to face a difficult reality; that the only storyline he has ever been told is nothing more than propaganda, and that he has been fed lies his whole life. On an adventure of redemption, heroism, unlikely romance and devastating consequences, how will Xavier escape his captors? How will he unsee the things he has seen? And how will he ever return to lead a country, that he has grown to resent?

"You can take people from their home, but you can't take their home out of them." That motto is what former native of the Deadly Jungle, Serenity, lives by. Taken from her home and forced into a life she never wanted; a life that had destroyed her family and her home. This life that was full of heartache, treachery, and destruction. Serenity's not sure if she can handle all this, and all the people because she had never been exposed to such. Along comes comes Nikolas and Marcus. The charming brothers who tries to help Serenity adjust to her new life. One with hidden intention, another being deceptive. Nikolas seems to be more cold and mysterious than Serenity had originally thought. Each time the two get close, things blow up. Finally, one blow up because to hard to fix. Resorting to Marcus for comfort, Serenity realizes how sweet he could be. Things seemed to withstand and hold together for a while, till Nikolas becomes missing. Serenity tries to withstand all this, but just couldn't anymore; even with the help from the people on the inside. Now, she's willing to risk it all to go back to the comfort of her birth place; including her very life.

"We own nothing, but we are happy..." "We are one with the Blessed, and the Blessed are one with us." It's the mantra we live by, like my name. Not the whole thing, I mean. Mantra. That's my name. I'm 17, and about to graduate school to be assigned a lifelong partner and task so I can contribute the best I have to the community I serve. We serve. The Blessed Ones saved our civilization from catastrophe, and we honor them by giving back to the community, working as a whole to make sure nobody goes hungry, or sleeps outside, or is alone ever again. Tasks are separated by colors- Blue for education, Purple for medical, Gold for political, Red for military, and so on. There are rules to live by. Of course, there always are. Rules keep us safe. Noone will have to face the Five Stages of Regret unless they break those rules. Like the group of terrorists that call themselves the HONEST. They insist that we are in real danger, that we don't belong here and if we don't escape we will all die. Escape from what? We are all happy. Perfectly...happy...

This is the story of a little girl who was scared to visit her own country. It is a story, but written in a way to sound like a poem.
