Smoke clouds the air they breathe, it gets into their systems and makes them sick. In a way, they already were sick, everything here is sickness, sickness of humanity itself. Heather was correct. Every theory she had ever come up with was correct. A meteorite had crashed into the Earth and caused people to go into hiding, there was no denying it now. If anyone was to say that everything was fine, or would be fine for that matter, would be very stupid to think so. It was not fine, and she doubted that it ever would be. Family, the one thing she never had, but another thing that she strived to help people find. As she works with 4 other people to find their families, it just dawns on her how dangerous the world outside actually is now. Fire and smoke still encase half of the Earth, and people who couldn't fit into the shelters were outside, sometimes killing and eating their own kind for survival. The lines between reality and fiction were becoming thinner, as were the lines between Friend and Foe. In a time where even the closest of friends can turn on each other, what is a young girl like her to do?

The world as we know has ended with an event which is described as the rise of a new dominant species. Historians and keepers of knowledge call it 'CATACLYSM'. With the end of cataclysm arose a new species of organism....well....not really organism, but a new strain of viruses called R-virus, which could take on any living body as host. This behavior of R- virus provided it with the ability to adapt to any and every conditions on earth. Human beings, known as the most adaptable creatures in the world lost their dominance to these small microscopic living things. 250 years later cataclysm ....humans lives on their bunkers and underground cities....hiding....venturing out for supplies and raw materials....living like rodents. Everything lost....pride of nations..history of mankind....ways of living and being a human. Only thing left is their tenacity, desire to live and a dying spirit. Will their dying and fading spirit be enough to fight back ?

In the year 2348, the only human civilization left resides in bunkers hidden deep underground, where everyone lives on strict rules-Don't smart your superiors. Don't wander off. Never leave the bunker. Ever. Charlie's father left the bunker due to banishment, and has never heard from him since. And if they do, a fate worse than death awaits outside. Charlie is a young rebellious man whose only ever dreamed of leaving the bunker and defying the rule of the people living underground-The Uppers. With a population of barely more than nine hundred, they have been told their entire lives they are the last of humanity-And anybody who has ever ventured out of the bunker dies within days. Of course, Charlie believes there is some hope out there-That humanity can stop living like caged animals, and restart life on the Earth that was once full of it. But there is something sinister going on within the bunker itself, and Charlie can't resist a good chance of exploration and adventure-Unless it gets him killed, that is. What if the sinister on goings of what's in the bunker is somehow linked to his father? What if his father isn't the hero he's always thought of him to be? And what happens if Charlie actually manages to somehow escape the bunker? The world is never a pretty place, and the same can be said in the year 2348.

It seems impossible that planet Earth would delve into the deep depths of insanity in just a mere decade.The last breaths of civilization lay under the burning, mountainous stacks of rubble. The majority of the world lay deep underground under concrete bunkers, never seeing light again. The last people on the surface of the world stand battling each other out to gain a simple litre of fuel.

In the year 2120, a wave of radiation was seen by Scientists, and all the bests in the world came to the point that the wave was hitting earth 7 years from that day. The presidents of all countries came together to find a solution to save the human race. They came out with several solutions: Several Space Stations, Cryonics, Bunkers, Under Water Bunkers and Buildings with anti-radiation systems. Population was warned, but instead of giving them a " death sentence ", the presidents decided to give them hope. Some of the presidents decided that they would stay on earth, as they should not leave the country and the people left behind, and so they give the power of the presidency to their sons or daughters that had they're place chosen at safety by the presidents. Families say goodbye as they leave their loved one's behind. The end of the world is here and a new journey begins to the ones who were saved.

I was born in '98, in the midst of what I believed was a nuclear war. It wasn't, which I guess was good for the planet, but not for me, because it meant I was lied to for my whole life. And once you break out of the liar's den, they will do all they can to push you back down into it again. Otherwise, you might let the light in for the others. All her life Nia has been told, and has believed, a lie. Living in a chain of bunkers in a secluded community, the Den, getting out doesn't end with her escaping. Hunted by the Watchers and not knowing who she can trust, even in her new life, she is followed everywhere by the reasons for her flight, and the memory of the people she left behind, in the Den. And getting them out means going back in first.

If you could afford to pay the the jaw dropping price your survival cost, you'd be given the luxurious underground bunker that would allow you to wait out what happened above ground. Those that had no choice but to stay in the Above, we left to fend for themselves as sickness, anarchy, and paranormal-like chaos took place. Not everyone survived, but those that did weren't left the same as before it started. Mutated genetic makeup from chemical bombs and disease outbreaks has left the people of Old Earth stronger, smarter, and powerful. When the Apocalypse ended, and the people of the Bunkers returned to the Above, they didn't expect to find their former home in the condition before them, nor the neighbors looking they way they do now. Eric lived in a Bunker for three years, Aspen was the only one in her family to survive the Apocalypse, and now her eyes glow bright blue and her strength is incredible. Two young adults will be the first to find love after the Apocalypse, and they might be the key in helping restore peace in humanity once and for all.

The Brigade is a story about three friends Johnny, Joey, and Jake. They have to survive the aftermath of a terrible disease called "The Brigade". Everything was fine until Johnny's friends abandon him alone to fend for himself. Will he get vengeance on his betrayers? Or will he die in the wasteland?

Robbie Hatman is a 13 year old lad who is having to go through the emotional trauma of his parents getting a divorce and all the stress that comes with it. This leads Robbie to find solace in the local landscape and making a discovery that changes his life and the relationship with his parents. The story was written in 2016/17 but never explored the idea of publishing. This was my first attempt of writing. I have finally decided to share the work to other readers. I know it needs more develpment but never got the chance to take it further.
