Isael Durendus, a forsaken prince and knight of the Kingdom of Durendus, has been accused of a treasonous crime he did not commit. Stripped of all his status and influence, he must traverse the world of Valbaria in an attempt to find those who may be willing to help him restore his name. All the while, he must deal with the looming threat of a man who claims to seek justice for the world through a political revolution, along with an extraordinarily powerful dragon that seems to be suspiciously interested in both Isael and the man. Isael and the companions he encounters will face many tribulations on their quest to restore order to Valbaria, but in the process, he may discover things about himself and his family that he never imagined possible...

It's an assignment I had to do for my fiction class. It was supposed to be based off of the beginning of Tim O'Brien's The Things They Carried. It's a bit of characterization loosely based off of the personalities of some people on the St. Benedict's Prep track team that includes me by the way. Vote and Comment

Based on tumblr prompt: Describe each day of the week as if it was a person. Just a little practice since I have no homework to do.

Cleo is the frost queen, an odd ally for Oro, king of the Sunling lands. But perhaps their friendship makes a kind of sense. This scene takes place after Oro reveals Isla's secret and allies himself with Cleo. (VERY mild spoilers for the end of the book.) Oro just desperately needed some characterization and I wanted to build a bit on the thin scaffolding that Alex gave us. So I, as a character writer, took it on myself to write this little scene.

It's an arduous, difficult process. Especially so when writing a fully-fledged novel with several hundred pages worth of content that you have to sit down and somehow create something from nothing. Even though one of the laws of science is that you cannot create something from nothing, when it comes to artforms like writing, that is exactly what you're doing. But writing is an art form like no other. Because unlike painting or drawing, you have to use words to potentially describe something that no other living individual has ever laid their eyes upon, or even thought about imagining. It's a daunting task for anyone. So, about writing. This book originated from my visits to the "Improve Your Writing" sections of the community in Wattpad and I, being the introvert I am, had no idea how to enter the conversation like a normal person, so instead I decided to write an all-out piece of advice that I couldn't bring myself to send. As a result, I decided to publish this book to sort it all out instead of just deleting the messages I never sent forever. Feel free to leave behind any suggestions and questions you have that you'd like me to answer!
