A guide to using the Tarot as a tool in crafting characters, plots, and settings. Included are various spreads and interpretations I've come up with over the years, for use in my own projects. Any deck can be used, though I highly suggest the Rider-Waite deck for its timeless imagery. The Tarot is much more than a simple divination tool. It can be applied in many different ways by writers. Anakin loses his mother and Padmé tries to both be there for him and come to terms with her chaotic feelings. A/N: People complain a lot about Padmé's reaction to Anakin confessing to murdering the Tusken Raiders, as well as the romance as a whole. I decided to write this scene out from her point of view, hopefully adding some depth to it - depth that I saw in the movie. The title is a reference to a poem out of Mary Oliver's "Thirst".

On Wattpad, I've seen many comprehensive writing guides that have helped me so much in my own writing, and I figured that I want to do the same by putting my input in some of these chapters. I hope you find the advice useful!

What are you supposed to do when there's a corpse outside your house, call the police? ------ Okay wait, the title and summary make it seem stupid, but it's better than it seems? I don't know, only two of my friends have read it and it's turned out better than most of my other writing so... yeah. Well, I currently haven't drawn a cover, so, a picture of Rohan will do for now. Also, this story started with me wanting to work on characterization for Rohan because I seriously have been doubting my writing lately and something that started with a prompt of 'Murder investigation' turned into this. But, Theo soon starts to hate his life as the Trophy Wife's Trophy Son. Be prepared for sexual jokes, awkward moments, and maybe even the start of a relationship. **WARNING** I curse a lot. Like way to fucking much.

Here are some tips and advice for beginning authors or writers who want to get their work out there!

I don't tell anyone else about it because no-one else can see it like I can: how the paint spreads away from my lilac finger-strokes like birds flitting from the nest, flying over the wall from one side to another and resting along the skirting board until it plops onto the carpet... it swoops, soars, swings... I don't know how to explain it to other people. They don't understand. All they see are streaks of paint. I wish they could see. Their life could be a lot more colourful that way. (A brief character study of mine, spanning multiple chapters.)

In an English class in high school, we were told to characterize a person from our life in the third-person, but in a way similar to how Truman Capote characterized the main character's friend in his short story "A Christmas Memory." In this book, I have decided to characterize a few people from my life. These are short characterizations, as that was what was required from the class, but just as an example of yet another way to describe a character indirectly.
