Lt. Amanda Torres is the 23 year old daughter of B'Elanna Torres and Tom Paris. Her parents were teenage lovers, next door neighbours who fell in love. But when her mother left to join the Maqui and her father didn't want anything to do with her, Amanda was left alone. She joined Starfleet as soon as she could, and when she finds out her mothers ship has disappeared in the badlands, she doesn't hesitate at the opportunity to join the Voyager crew. What happens when she gets stranded and has to heal the wounds between her and her parents, while still getting over the emotional struggle of missing her husband and 3 year old son back home on Earth.

Lieutenant T'Rina Nal is a Vulcan/Cardassian hybrid, she is the Chief Science Officer aboard the USS Voyager, however Voyager gets trapped 70'000 light years from Federation space, T'Rina is trapped aboard with people that hate her for being a Cardassian. T'Rina forms a bond with Tuvok, her fellow Vulcan and confides in him as often as she can, she also forms a bond with B'Elanna Torres who knows what it's like to be trapped between two worlds. Natalya Zarale is a Cardassian and a Human, her mother was human and her father Cardassian, Natayla belonged on neither Earth or Cardassia Prime, she joined Starfleet. At first Natalya was treated with suspicion from everyone except Harry Kim her one and only friend which suited her fine especially when she proved those naysayers wrong and graduated top of her class. What happens when she gets stuck in the Delta Quadrant, away from everyone she knows and loves? And to make matters worse, with the Maquis. Samuel "Sam" Paris is the older brother of Tom Paris he's 27 when he's stationed aboard Voyager as the temporary security officer before working in Engineering eventually working alongside B'Elanna Torres a former Maquis. Sam's father pulled strings to get him stationed aboard so that he can keep an eye on his younger brother but what Sam doesn't expect is to fall for another former Maquis, T'Rina Greene, a Vulcan/Human hybrid who's the communication officer.
