My take on an adventure-fantasy with some elements of psychedelia to it. Written in the 1st person. Had an outline somewhere to turn it into a book but much like most I write -- ended up losing steam. Short story for now, we'll see if it ever goes from there.

So, my best friend thinks she doesn't matter and the world would be better off without her. So, this is me proving her wrong. I've taken an oath that I'll write her a poem or a short piece every day until she believes me. This will contain all I've ever written for a brilliant, wonderful person. She's a mess, but she's my mess.

STUPID PEOPLE ON TV is a surrealist slacker hangout trip through the strange nature of time, identity, and cable programming. Bones, Carla, and Lucky-three overeducated twenty-somethings with a loose grip on reality-gather in a half-furnished rental house to watch bad television and drink thawed peyote tea. As the analog signal flickers and the cactus kicks in, their jokes and digressions spiral deeper into surrealist philosophical weirdness. Bleakly funny, Stupid People On TV is a lo-fi psychedelic chamber play about lost love, loops in time, and the dream of meaning in a world that mostly wants you to shut up and watch the ads.

"Do you remember me, how we used to be?" Jude and Polly were meant to be. Their love grew and grew until they were almost inseparable, and, along with the band's success, it seemed like the beautiful early 1960s would last forever. But all illusions must be shattered. As the years go by, Jude is drawn deeper and deeper into the mysterious and entrancing world of psychedelics. Tim, his childhood best friend and bandmate, is forced to watch as his friend's divine mind crumbles day by day, year by year...
