Free verse and Narrative poem.

So I recently got into a weird situation, but basically I have a crush. This is a story for me to kind of vent and let out my feelings. As a disclaimer: this is based off of my life, not exactly what happened. For privacy reasons, the names have been changed, so none of the characters are real. I'm only posting this because I wanted to see if people would like it, but I wrote it mainly for myself. I will not take requests, so don't ask for any. I hope you enjoy!

In 2020 we faced our worst enemy. A virus outbreak known as the corona virus or covid 19 took the world by storm. It initially began in wuhan China. According to unknown reports many claims were made that this disease was contracted by humans after they consumed infected bat and snake meat in a restaurant. These resturants underwent thorough testing to ensure the meat was safe for consumation. But the nature of this virus was such that no detection could be made in its early stages when they knew about it. It was too late, before governments could comprehend about the whole situation it had spread around the world. The best medical teams tried to come up with the antidote while the death rate increased with every passing moment. The internet and television were flooded with this sudden phenomena. Humanity stared towards an uncertain future. Now thirty years later in 2050 .... Would you like to know what is in store for you?. ( the names of characters and the plot line are completely fictitious the information regarding the covid 19 virus are derived from conceptual theories obtained from various articles in the internet).

self-reflection amid coronavirus.

I've intended on writing this book for as long as I can remember. That being said, I have finally gotten a head-start on it.

After the deaths of his older brother and grandfather, Noel is left emotionally shattered and struggling with severe social anxiety while his parents remain overseas. Now living with his aunt and uncle, he enters his junior year determined to stay invisible and survive the days without falling apart. But when he crosses paths with Phoebe-a headstrong, impulsive girl carrying grief of her own-his carefully built walls begin to crack. As she pushes into his life and his past resurfaces, Noel must decide whether to keep running from connection or risk everything to finally face his pain before it consumes him.

As the coronavirus spreads, millions of citizens are quarantined, held hostage by their government for the benefit of humanity. Stock piling, relationships and school are some of the topics 17 year old Mollie debates in the breach of this pandemic.

This is just something I penned during one of my stronger depressive moods. It was mostly just a vent, but I need to get it out there. It simply follows my rambling thoughts after a night of walking, and the spiral I followed from that, with some imagination towards the ending. I also change perspectives quite a bit, because that's how I view my relationship with my own mind. Enjoy! Or don't. Maybe it's not to be enjoyed.

The stories were inspired by me being envious towards my sister's cat who could carry on with her regular daily routine and was able to take more walks than 1 a day outside. While I was locked inside the house for many weeks as the result of corona virus outbreak.
