This is a poem about social injustice and faint hope. It's born out of the pain of the Lekki massacre that took place on the 20th October 2020 when soldiers on the order of the government shot and killed unarmed citizens who held the flag and sang the national anthem and who were on a peaceful protests. The pain and horror of that day will forever be imprinted on the heart and history of the Nigeria republic.

Dear Diary, Oh I'm kidding. This isn't one of those stories. Where the gay guy writes in a diary and all his emotional issues are solved, and suddenly the world isn't such a scary place anymore. The purposeful hijacking of one or two boyfriends, and the... creative... way I fixed all my problems. I'll take you through the best, and worst dates along the way, and maybe, if you're lucky I'll even throw in some Mean Girls references. No, this is definitely not a diary. It's a documentation of my own little corner of hell, and how I make my way through it.

This poem is about the strength and endurance of an average black/man/woman/child. It celebrates our journey and reminds of our past The current situation in the world has exposed how hard it is for black people in general. Human rights are meant for EVERYONE. This poem is just to remind us of what we went through as people and what we have achieved as people.

This short story will take a very short amount of time but it has a big important message in it. It is about social injustice and how I, or any other whites, would have to go through the pain that African-Americans have been going through ever since the age of slavery in America.
