[Book One:] Rosalina Cand and her family have been torn apart. Her mother died, her father became the town drunk, and her older sister ran away to find her mate on the other side of the mountains that shield humankind from the supernatural creatures. When the town finds out her sister is a traitor, they brand Rosalina and her little sister Seraph, exiling them from the human world forever. 
    In order to save her little sister, Rosalina embraces the mountains, but gets caught by a coven of Witches. They make a deal with her: Pass three tests to become a Witchling, or die.
