"Yes?" He turned to look at her again. 

"Achilles and Patroclus... Sprite modeled them off of us, right?" 

"I think so." 

"Well then she's right..." Kaia paused, looking for the right words, "I think, if something happened to you- if someone were to- a human, a deviant, even Ikaris... I'd burn down the world if it meant being able to deliver that justice. You're my Patroclus."

Arishem sent The Eternals to Earth with one goal in mind: protect the Humans from Deviants, and help them advance as a species. Kaia had always found it odd, for eleven of them to have been given the mission, but with Druig by her side, she found no reason to question her place. 

Time, however, can turn even the tiniest of doubts, into a wildfire of confusion and chaos.

Marvel's Eternals: The Eleventh Eternal by CDoggPiggie

Before the six singularities, there was nothing, until the Celestials gave life to the vast Universe. To this day, they still give life to it, however, an unnatural predator race, called the Deviants, began to devour all life on each planet they invade. Then, the Prime Celestial, Arishem, sent the Eternals, immortal heroes from the planet Olympia, to kill the Deviants on Earth. Though they succeeded in their mission, they continue to live in secret amongst the human race for thousands of years, until the return of their old enemies resurface, forcing them to reunite to defeat them once more.
