Edward Teach is depressed and fully ready to disappear in the Kraken persona he's made up to protect himself.
During a potentially murderous hurricane Ed comes to terms with his fear and thinks about the times he remembered feeling it, annoyingly enough for him, three out of four times concerns Stede Bonnet.
Edward is heart-broken, angry and mourning a love he deeply needed.
Now, there he is, sitting behind a desk, stabbing his dagger through a book. While the storm lashes, setting his entire crew on edge, the scribe outside the door knows he has a chance to help the Captain. The tea-cup flying toward his face won't change that-
