After Arthur Pendragon defeated Vortigern, he reclaimed his rightful throne as the true king. He knights his friends and is now in charge of the kingdom. More than a year has passed and everyone seems to be focused on why the King still hasn't found a Queen. Everyone knows that a King needs a Queen by his side to help him rule. Daisy Turner lives with her family in Londinium. She works at her family's bakery. When her family is in dire straits due to the store not making enough income, her parents have come up with a solution. That solution is an arranged marriage for Daisy and the son of the richest family in town. If she agrees to the marriage, the boy's family will cover their expenses. Daisy absolutely refuses this deal and she runs away from home. While on the run she ends up in a forest which happens to be near Arthur's castle. Arthur's knights happen to stumble upon Daisy wandering in the forest and bring her to the castle. This is the last place Daisy wants to be at. Her parents are already controlling her life and there's no way that King Arthur or his knights will tell her what to do.
