Daisy and her parents stood in front of the door of the Morgan household. She wore a plain dress for the dinner. 

"Daisy, could you try to smile?" Thomas harshly whispered in her direction. "We're not at a funeral. This is a dinner. We'll enjoy the wonderful food and get to know the Morgans."

"I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree on this matter." She sarcastically replied. "It's definitely a funeral. It's my last supper before my life ends permanently."

"Enough with the dramatics." Mary hissed. "The Morgans invited us. You'll get to meet Oliver. Give this a chance. He's a nice young man."

Daisy rolled her eyes. "If he's so nice, then why isn't he married already?"

The door opened and a woman in her mid-40s appeared. "Welcome, Turners." Lucy, Oliver's mother and James' wife announced.

"Thank you, Lucy." Mary said.

They stepped into the foyer of the house and looked around. The house was well decorated. The rugs on the floor were very beautiful.

"Richard, our guests have arrived

"Richard, our guests have arrived." Lucy announced to her husband.

Richard walked down the staircase and stepped where everyone is standing. "Thomas, Mary, and Daisy, welcome to our home." Daisy held back the urge to roll her eyes and politely nodded her head.
