James, Londinium's courier, stopped at the Turner's Bakery. Thomas opened the door. "James, you have something for me?" He asked.

"I do." James nodded. "It's a letter from Daisy."

"Thank God. We have been so worried about her." Thomas felt relieved. James handed him the letter. Thomas walked back in the bakery. Mary finished baking the bread and took it out of the oven. "Mary, James brought a letter. It's from Daisy."

"There is a God." Mary felt happy. "Open it, Thomas."

Thomas sat down and ripped the top of the envelope. He took out the letter and unfolded it. He began reading the letter out loud.

"Dear mother and father,

I want to begin this letter by saying that I'm alive and well. I have not officially found my permanent residence. I'm staying in Camelot at King Arthur's castle. The accommodation is fine. Food and shelter are provided. I'm treated well by everyone. There is no mistreatment of any kind. My plan still remains the same. I will not be returning home. I will find the place where I truly belong. Please don't try to find me. If I decide to come back and visit Londinium, it will be on my own terms. I hope you find an alternative way which can save the bakery. Please try to understand why I'm doing this. I'm not doing this to hurt you. I want to be independent.

Daisy"

"Thomas, she's staying with King Arthur. This is the same Arthur who used to come in our bakery." Mary exclaimed.

"You mean the Arthur who was always up to no good?" Thomas asked. "The one who was always fighting and made a lot of money from doing god knows what. He was a criminal. He did live in a brothel. That didn't help his reputation. I'm surprised he was never locked up for his illegal activities."

"Yes, that Arthur. He was the leader of his street gang." Mary said.

"Now, he's a king." Thomas thought out loud. "What if he changed his ways?"

"You think this title will change him? Criminals don't change their ways. Oh god, poor Daisy is caught in his trap. What if she's staying at Arthur's castle because she's his concubine?" Mary is close to having a breakdown. "Thomas, what if he forced himself on her? She's vulnerable. She doesn't know anyone there. How could Daisy end up living under the same roof with the one man we tried to keep her away from when she was living with us? Remember how he would come in here and just linger around. I would send Daisy to the market or to work in the back. He's not a good person. Also, he's not someone Daisy should consider as a potential suitor. What if Arthur forced her to write this letter? Maybe he's very controlling. Why couldn't she see how good Oliver could be for her? Now, that's a man who would provide a nice life and he has an excellent reputation."

"Mary, in the letter she's implying that we shouldn't try to find her." Thomas noted.

"Since when does our daughter tell us what we shouldn't do? We will go to Camelot and get answers from her." Mary insisted.
