Spider-Man wasn't the only person impacted by Mysterio. Before Spider-Man confronted the manipulative villain masquerading as a hero who scapegoated him for a crime he didn't commit, another person witnessed Quentin Beck sneak into the Acme Building hours before the climactic battle. It was a young man named Jake Phillips Jr, great great grandson of Colonel Chester Phillips and also one of many to have come back from The Snap. After stumbling across Mysterio behind the scenes, Beck threatened Phillips's life if he told anyone that he saw the master of illusions. Afraid for his life, Jake's father hires a bodyguard to protect Jake so that he'll be alive to testify against Quentin Beck in his upcoming trial. That bodyguard is Yelena Belova, former Black Widow. Can Yelena successfully protect Jake in time for Beck's trial? And what will happen when Jake develops feelings for the Russian spy? Will Yelena reciprocate his feelings? This is a spin-off sequel/follow-up to Spider-Man Wrongfully Accused.
