They were never meant to survive, let alone love.
Two fractured souls drifted through a world that had already written their endings. One moved slowly, quietly undone by a weight that no one could see, every breath a reminder that time was not kind. The other carried a storm beneath a still face, a mind that never rested, a chaos that pressed from the inside, relentless and unyielding.
When they found each other, it felt like something rare and impossible- like recognition in the cracks, like a pause in a world that would not pause for them. For a moment, it almost felt like hope.
But being together only made the fragility unbearable. Every moment was a sunray slipping through trembling fingers, a warmth they could never hold for long. They clung with every ounce of themselves, desperate and raw, trying to keep the darkness at bay, but the light kept dying, and the shadows pressed closer, leaving only a hollow ache that would linger long after the warmth was gone.
They could not save each other. They could only hold on, for as long as anything would let them.
