Taehyung's POV
The best and worst part of Christmas is shopping. The best part is buying things for the people you love, the worst part is trying to keep Grace from slipping into little space from all the exciting toys and decorations. She's done well so far, but I can tell it's getting close to calling it quits for the day. The biggest clue was when she squealed at a large reindeer stuffy that had a jingle bells on its collar. It's not that I mind if she slips, but she doesn't like slipping in public, so I try and respect that by keeping her out of it.
"Are we nearly done sweetheart?" I ask not trying to sound like I wanted to hurry her along.
"I just want to try one more shop so I can get something for Namjoon, and then I'm done." She replies with a bright smile, the tip of her nose a little pink from the cold.
"Ok, lead the way sweetheart." I smile back at her.
This time of year has been important for Grace, we'd all agreed we wanted her to experience all the exciting things about Christmas. Jimin and Hobi had gone out and bought a tree with the most beautiful decorations for Grace to have for herself in her room.
Jin had spent nearly a whole day baking and decorating a Gingerbread House with Gracie.
Yoongi had spent time getting Grace back into piano, and Grace had sat playing Christmas carols for us all one evening whilst we all joined in singing. Namjoon had spent every bedtime with Gracie reading her Christmas stories until she fell alseep. Jungkook had started a snowball fight with Grace and ended up making a snowman with Gracie. My task was Christmas shopping. Grace and Gracie wanted to get everyone a gift, so we'd done it over a few weeks so she didn't get tired or overwhelmed. Just like Grace, we all wanted to get her gifts for Grace and Gracie, so our house currently looks like a sorting office with all the parcels stacked everywhere.
"What about this? Do you think he'd like this one?" Grace asks me hopefully holding out a navy soft leather journal with gold trim on the pages.
"I think he'll love it Grace, it's really thoughtful." I smile warmly, her eyes lighting up at my approval.
"Yay! Right, let's go and pay, then we can head home." She says excitedly heading towards the checkout.
Jimin's POV
"Ya Jungkook! Hold the paper still! It looks like a cat wrapped this one!" I exclaim getting frustrated.
"Sorry Hyung, I am trying but I'm tired, we've wrapped so much today." He apologises before yawning.
"I know, I'm sorry, I just want it to be perfect for Grace." I sigh patting his shoulder sympathetically.
"We all do, but she'll love it regardless of how well it's wrapped. She'll love it because we've put in the effort to show her how much we care." Namjoon reminds me firmly.
I know he's right, Grace is always so grateful of anything we do for her, but this is her first Christmas with us, and Gracie's first proper Christmas, so it has to be perfect.
"Tae's just messaged, they're on their way back so we'll have to wrap this up for now." Jungkook says with a laugh, looking expectantly at us waiting for a response to his awful, awful pun.
"No. For that, you can put these all in the spare room." I say shaking my head with disappointment, a small smile appearing when he sighs and hangs his head in defeat.
Grace's POV
I tucked the last gifts I'd bought today into the back of my wardrobe, covering them back up with a spare blanket. I'd really enjoyed Christmas so far, I'd done so many things with all of the guys, and so had Gracie.
Shopping might have been the hardest though, all the different decorations and toys everywhere made it really hard for me not to slip, but I'd managed to hold it in until I got home.
"Grace! Dinner!" Jin shouted up the stairs.
I'm so tired after today, the mix of shopping and trying not to slip really was draining, I just wanted some time to myself before I went down, but I don't want to be rude. I pull myself up sighing and head downstairs.
"There you are Little Peach, are you hungry?" Jin greets. I silently nod as I rub my tired eyes, trying to stay big for just a little longer.
"Grace, are you feeling little?" Hobi asks from his seat as he eyes me.
"I can be big..." I mumble, my voice quiet.
"Sunshine, you can be little if you want to, you know you don't need to fight it." Hobi encourages.
"I've been little too much recently, I don't want you to get fed up of it." I explain, tears welling up in my eyes.
Because Christmas was both exciting and stressful, I'd found myself slipping into little space a lot more recently and for longer periods of time. I know none of them would ever tell me to stop, but I just worry because I don't want to be a burden. As far as I'd come, I still struggled with feeling like I'm letting people down.
"Gracie, come here." Jin says softly with his arms open.
"N-not Gracie..." I sniffle as I fight against slipping.
"That's ok, but I'd still like a cuddle." He says warmly.
"Otay..." I mumble as I shuffle over to Jin shyly, wrapping my arms tightly around his waist as I feel myself slip, the mixture of the nicknames and encouragement just tipping me over the edge.
"Jinnie, I sowwy, Gracie wanted to see you but Grace sayed no." I sniffle, a few tears slipping down my cheeks.
"You don't have to be sorry Little Peach, but Grace needs to know we'd never get fed up of her or Gracie, we all love you both very much." Jin explains before pressing a kiss to the top of my head.
"Otay Jinnie. Can we has nummies now? My tummy hungwy." I mumble shyly into his chest.
"Sure thing Gracie, let's get that cute little tummy filled with yummy food."
