Namjoon's POV

As I stand over the cause of all of Grace's pain, I struggle to keep myself from beating him within an inch of his life. My attention is drawn back to the stairs when I hear footsteps heading back up them. Police already? That was quick.

So I'm surprised when I see Tae appear at the top, walking straight back into the room.

"Tae why aren't you with Grace, where..." I ask frowning in confusion before he cuts me off.

"Get out." He says lowly, not looking at me or Jungkook.

"Hyung, this wasn't the plan..." Jungkook tries to reason.

"Out!" He shouts at us, his eyes burning with rage.

Jungkook looks at me for help, but I don't know what he expects me to do. "Taehyung, think about this before you do anything stupid, she still needs you." I say softly to him as I head out of the room, Jungkook following behind, taking one last look before the door slams shut.

Taehyung's POV

"Get up." I command, my foot nudging his leg.

"Fuck off." He spits back.

"Wrong choice." I growl, bending down and dragging him up by his shirt.

"You got what you came for, so fuck off!" He repeats, pushing my hands away, stumbling as he finds his footing.

"I got everything but answers. I want to know why?" I hiss, taking a step towards him.

"Why? Why not?" He smirks.

That was all it took. I pulled back my arm, before punching him in his disgustingly smug face, walking out of the room as he fell to his knees clutching at his nose pouring blood.

As I get to the bottom of the stairs, the police rush in. I raise my hands in defence, gesturing to upstairs with my head. "He's up there, room at the end of the hall, look for the maggot bleeding from a broken nose." I scoff, the officers giving me a sharp nod before heading up the steps.

I continue back to the car, Namjoon slipping out when he sees me, giving me his seat so I can be near to her.

"The police know we're taking her to the hospital to get checked out. They'll contact us later for statements." Jin explains starting the car.

"Let's just get her out of here." I say, my voice cracking with emotion as I look at her in Hobi's lap.

Let's get you home...

Grace's POV

"She has a few broken ribs, the deeper cut although not life threatening will need stitches..."

"What about the bruising around her neck?"

"She may find it hard to talk for a while, and it will be tender, but painkillers will help with that."

"Thank you, we will look after her."

"I hope so, she's been through enough..."

*-*

My eyes flutter open, squinting as they're hit by bright clinical lights. Once my eyes adjust to the shock of white light, they're drawn to the tear stained face staring at me. Tae...

"Grace? You're awake?" He whispers in shock, his hand tightly grasping mine.

"I'll get the others." Comes another voice from my other side. Jin...

They came for me...

It's not long until my private room is filled with sad and relieved faces. They're all staring at me and it's making me feel a little self-conscious, my hands fiddling with the blanket over me.

"How're you feeling?" Namjoon asks, trying to break the silence knowing full well I feel like shit.

"Rough...but happier seeing all of you..." I croak, shrugging shyly and regretting my choice as I wince from the movement irritating my ribs.

"Do you want more pain relief? I can find a nurse?" Hobi offers taking a step towards the door.

"No, no it's ok, just don't make me laugh...or move..." I chuckle hoarsely slightly to myself, once again instantly regretting my decision.

Silence fills the room again, everyone just sort of staring at me not knowing what to say.

"You didn't have to leave, we could have kept you safe." Jimin says quietly, his face the saddest I've ever seen.

"You'd already done so much for me, I couldn't bear the thought of any of you getting hurt because of me. I don't regret my choice, and I'd make the same one again if I had to." I say firmly with my broken voice, this new confidence in me giving me the strength I needed.

"You won't have to make it again, he's not going to come near you ever again." Yoongi explains confidently with a smirk.

"What did you do?" I ask panicking looking at them all, worrying they're going to get into trouble because of me, my body tensing causing me to let out a groan of pain.

"We called the police, don't panic Grace. The courts will deal with him now, and you've got a strong case." Jin says taking my hand, calming me, my body relaxing easing the dull pain.

"Really?" I whisper in shock, the news of him never coming near me again not quite sinking in.

"Really. He's gone, you're free." Hobi smiles at me warmly.

"Where will I go? I haven't got any money..." I frown, uncertainty causing me to tense again, another whimper slipping out.

"You'll come home." Jungkook says simply.

"Home?" I ask my voice cracking slightly.

"We told you sweetheart, our home is yours too, as long as you want it. Do you still want to live with us?" Tae asks hopefully.

"Can I?" I plead, trying not to think of the alternative, mainly because there wasn't one.

"Can you keep baking for us?" Yoongi asks with a playful smile.

"I'll bake whenever you want." I giggle, trying my best to ignore the pain.

"Guys, can I get a few minutes alone with Grace?" Tae asks suddenly, a nervous look on his face.

As they say their goodbyes, I can't help but smile knowing I'll be seeing them all again soon anyway.

Once the room is empty apart from me and Tae, he sits in the chair next to my bed and takes my hand in his holding it tightly like he's afraid he's going to lose me again.

"Grace?" He says shyly.

"Tae what is it? You're kind of freaking me out a little..." I laugh half heartedly, trying not to actually freak out.

"I love you." He whispers airily.
