The whispering around the school continued on, million pairs of eyes staring at Alina as she strolled past them with her backpack lazily slung over her shoulder. She tried not to feel uncomfortable, keeping a steady focus on getting to class without any interruptions. She had to be there in time- early even because she had to turn in her math project which was due before class and she hadn't had time to drop it off that morning.

The bell had rung just seconds ago, yet it seemed as if no one was in a hurry to make it to class within five minutes. They were all huddled up in their friend groups, scattered across the flocked hallway and their eyes were fixed on either their screen or their mouths were moving quickly along with their words.

Welp, something happened. Alina sighed, rolling her eyes. She knew some sort of news had spread like wildfire since that morning. It was just like the time, when Alina was a freshman, and news about some senior peeing his pants had exploded like fireworks. Before the school day had even started, half the school knew about the incident and by lunchtime, the entire school including the staff had heard about it. She felt sorry for that guy. He had been the joke of the school for the rest of that year.

Alina hurried off to her class, rearing the corner. Her loose ponytail with strands of her midnight mane flapped up and down as she ran. A hand grabbed Alina's wrist, halting her jog. She jerked backward as she was dragged to the side. Groaning and furious at whoever had grabbed her, she whipped her head around fury.

"What the hell?" She hissed, but relaxed when her eyes met her friend Santino. He gave her a sheepish smile, his fingers playing with his blonde hair childishly. She rolled her eyes, hitting him gently in the forearm.

"Ow!" He yelped, clutching his arm and backing away to where Dylan and Carla were. They snickered.

Alina shook her head. "Not my fault, Tino. You literally interrupted me! Now I'm going to be late to math." She groaned, still a bit frustrated.

"Well sorry, but we wanted to tell you something!" He chirped, joining Carla and Dylan who jerked their heads towards Allie. Alina sighed heavily, grasping the strap of her backpack that was slung over a single shoulder.

"Can it wait?" She replied, the tone coming out far more rude than expected.

"No!" Tino responded. "It will only take a minute."

"Fine." Alina gave in leaning on the locker. He perked up. "But be quick, okay?" He nodded quickly.

Carla coughed, smiling. "There's this huge party at Dylan's tonight. The whole school's invited and you Missy, is definitely going." She explained while Dylan chuckled.

Alina's eyes widened. A party? She despised parties. Her friends knew that for sure. The last time she had attended one was with Mae and let's just say it didn't end well. That was last year and she sure wasn't going to this one.
