"Why were you hanging out with Shelman?" Gabriela asked Alina when she joined her friend group who were chatting by a wall next to the kitchen. She scowled, following Alina's gaze which landed on Mabel who was busy having fun with her group.

She seemed happier with them.

Alina sighed, tucking a strand of her dark hair behind her ear and blushing. She really shouldn't have drank that much. She was far too drunk to even control her emotions. Her lips parted, ready to spill out everything her sober thoughts held back, but refrained.

You're drunk, Allie. She reminded herself.

Gabriela cocked an eyebrow, staring down at her short body. "Um, I guess I just happened to bump into her-" The words died on her lips and she silenced.

Gabriela rolled her eyes, grimacing. "Yeah right." Her eyes narrowed, anger burning inside of them and she neared closer to Alina's mouse-like body. Alina whimpered, backing up. What was Gabriela going to do? She wouldn't hit her, would she? Like she did with Mabel. Alina's eyes widened, stumbling backwards in a blur as Gabriela came closer.

The remains of her drink in her red cup sloshed off the edge and onto Alina's dress as Gabriela tilted down to her level. She growled underneath her breath, Alina practically sensing the fury bubbling inside her. Alina held her breath, words getting stuck in her throat.

It was silent between them, just the intense staring continuing. Alina felt like the prey that the predator was ready to snatch by the throat, ripping their heart open in pieces. Her hands shook silently. What was Gabriela going to do?

"Allie!" A high pitched voice shrieked and the two of them pulled away. Thank god. Alina let out a sigh of relief. Gabriela pretended like that didn't happen, masking her red eyes with her soft blue ones and a fake smile.

Alina's eyes fell on Santino who's blonde hair was messy and he smelt of alcohol. He gave Gabriela an unknowing smile, joining them.

"Where were you? We were looking all over for you!" He exclaimed, slurring the words. Alina nodded slowly, not taking her eyes off Gabriela who looked like she wanted to kill her.

"Um, I just bumped into someone from the past." She replied quietly, watching Gabi carefully. Her bright red dress outlined her curves and it was much shorter than Allie's. It just screamed attention.

Santino nodded. "Well, let's go find Dylan and Carla. I swear I saw them just seconds ago." He mumbled, dragging Gabriela and Alina along with him. They squeezed through the crowded dance floor, their eyes roaming around the distinct faces in search of a familiar brown haired girl and a green eyed boy.

"There!" Gabriela chirped, pointing at a boy walking down the stairs. Santino smiled, racing towards him and squeezing my hand in the process.

"Dylan!" They screamed of joy, startling the boy and nearly making him fall down the remaining steps. He gave them an uneasy smile.
