Mabel was probably one of the only teenagers who remained sober during the party. She had lost Cedric in the crowd while he was getting a drink for himself. Mabel knew that alcohol and she weren't a good pair and she figured that it would be best for her to be thirsty instead of being drunk and doing something she could regret.

Lights were flashing all over the walls and teenagers were twisting their bodies to the beat of the music. Her head began to ache as the laughter and screams were getting overwhelming. She felt like she was in the cafeteria but instead of the students being spread out around tables, they were all clustered together like rats in a trap.

She sat down on the nearest couch, fortunately empty. As she looked around the confined area, she suddenly froze. Her eyes locked with someone she never thought she would encounter ever again. The person also seemed to notice Mabel since she abandoned the dance floor to make her way to her.

"Well, look who's here. If this ain't Mabel Shelman, my dear friend, or ex-friend I should say," the person cruelly snapped.

"What do you want?" Mabel responded.

She knew that this person could only cause trouble. She was the origin of all her problems and she had purposefully left her friend group because of that person. What she wondered was why this person persisted in talking to her and hurting her feelings all the time. Had she not done enough to bring Mabel to her lowest state of mind?

This girl was the one and only Gabriela Haynes.

"Oh come on, Mabel, we used to be really good friends. Can we just talk?"

She looked genuine but was she really?

"Fine."

"So, how does it feel now that you're part of the Elite?"

"Um - it's hard to say. I've not been part of the group for a long time but I like it."

"What makes you think that everyone in the group likes you?"

"I never said that but since everyone is so kind, I'd assume that we could become really good friends."

Mabel started to become hesitant and careful with her words. Gabriela could have changed in the course of time but she had bullied her and Mabel couldn't forget that. It had been clear to her that Gabriela was jealous of her and Mabel genuinely felt sorry for her.

"You know what, forget everything I said. You're not worth my time. You're just a stupid girl that only cares about gaining popularity!"

Mabel was shocked. How could Gabriela say such things after everything that happened? The screams of the two girls started to draw attention to them and more and more people began to listen to their conversation.

"How can you say this? Have you not done enough already? Bullying me with Carla was not sufficient?"

Gabriela's cheeks began turning red with embarrassment and rage.
