Finally, she found something, a little kitten appeared, emerging out of a totally pitch black -looking corner of an orange cage.
'Hello, there little one" she cooed, bending down. The kitten stood on his hind legs and licked Sophia's hair and check. "Hey, hey, cut that out" she giggled.
Gently unlatching the cage, she saw that the kitten was an orange tabby, friendly as could be.
"Hey, I bet Riley'll love you" she whispered. As she scooped the kitten up she noticed something; every time she tried to pick it up and walk away from the cage the kitten would meow loudly and would wiggle out of Sophia's arms.
